Well aside from what I discussed in the sleep paralysis thread, I regularly have tornado dreams, and they are usually really close, not off in the distance like you see in videos. The most recent one, I was in a glass house trying to shield my daughter as a tornado split into three around us.

I seriously have like 20 tornado dreams a year.

Yeah, that sleep paralysis thread was eye-opening for sure! lol

No. I don't. And I've rememebered less than ten of them in my entire life, which actually makes me a little sad. Part of my neverending sleep issues.

Other recurring (at least the theme is recurring) dreams for me generally involve my grandmother who passed away fairly young (58 I think). I was closer to her than my own parents at the time.

In most of them, I am aware she is going to die but she is not. In the saddest one, I was just a kid, about 8 or 9, but I had the knowledge I have now, though she didn't know that. Anyhow, we were driving in the van she had bought in real life just to cart us 4 grandkids around when we went up a hill and the back doors opened, letting whatever was in back fall out. A police officer pulled her over for it and told her her boxes fell out. As she got out to go inspect it him him the van rolled backwards, she started to panic, and I (sitting shotgun) reached over and pulled the parking brake. She told me she was proud and impressed and asked "How did you know to do that?" I wanted to tell her how I knew and what all I knew, including that she was going to die soon (hoping it could be avoided), but before I could say anything I felt my older brother and sister staring at me from the back seat. It was sort of like without saying a word they were telling me I wasn't allowed to, that telling her would be wrong. So I just shrugged in my seat and tried not to cry, accepting that she was going to die.

Why is it that the bad dreams are always the most memorable? I never remember any good dreams this vividly, though I know I have had some.

A few nights ago I had a dream that I was at some school assembly and the show was like some stand up show with Prince and his wife (some boring dowdy old blonde). I can't remember what the hell they were talking about but at one point the wife was talking to Joanna Angel (a porn star) who was sitting next to me.

I also can't remember everything that was said, but it was some joke about her husband cheating on her, and Prince (who had somewhere along the way morphed into some other dude) looked at me and I guess he was cheating on her with me. I then looked at my friend Christina with an awkward "oh oh" look and the bitch wasn't even paying attention, she was texting! (just like in real life) Then Joanna said something to the effect of her and I making out as a joke. I just remember her and I then saying "again!" as the punchline.

Then my son came flying into the room yelling and I woke up.

So, um...ya. I guess I do have weird dreams.

Several of the very few dreams that I've remembered upon waking have been CRYSTAL CLEAR recollections of dancing in the wee hours of the morning. Almost like re-living the experience in my sleep. Awesomely good feeling, actually. But that also may have something to do with the copious amounts of acid I did during those years. lol I've actually discussed that with multiple doctors too, in relation to my sleep issues. None of them believe there's any connection, but they can't say there isn't, either.

and it was like I was in a cube under the water, so the walls were literally sea water, and he walked through the wall to me, he couldn't talk yet, but I understood he had to go. HORRIBLE.

I dream of people typing in English, instead of being a fam with Princebonics.

A lot of my dreams come true. At the time I have the dream it doesn't mean a lot to me. Just some weird, random image, sometimes with people or places I'm not familiar with. Then fast forward a few months and even if I meet those people, or am in that place, it doesn't ring true until the exact moment I had in the dream happens.

Example: I had a dream once of me in some store with small boxes piled in neat piles. There were people there, one of which I knew. To my right was a table with a cash register on it, and it had a green skirt wrapped around the table.

A few months later, I was working as a manager of the San Francisco Music Box Company, a seasonal store in a local shopping mall here. I had been there for a few months. Then one day, I was in just the right spot, and the people around me were in the right position, and I had that deja vu feeling. I KNEW I had been in this position before. It was at that moment I realized the dream I'd had. We did have a table with a green cloth around it. the boxes were the merchandise. A lot of the bigger stuff was piled in triangle piles throughout the store as we consolidated the merchandise down as we sold more and more. (We basically moved the back "wall" of the store forward the more empty the store became toward January.) I had worked there for 3 months before that exact moment happened - when all the players were in the right place. I literally stood there and couldn't speak. It's like some weird movie where a person has a moment and everything goes muffled, and it's blurry around you, and you're trying to make sense of it.

That kind of stuff happens all the time to me. It's not weird - it's just normal, for me.

Reminds me of my friend who had a dream in late 2000. She told me how horrible it was, and how much she had blocked it out of her head. But not before she wrote it down. Like me, she had dreams that meant something later, and she tried to type everything down as soon as she'd wake up, to document her dreams.

This was her dream:

Dream I had: December 28, 2000

In a dream last night I saw two quick scenes.

The first one was where I was in a real high building. I do not know how high. I was looking out the window and a huge plane like a 747 or something like that was flying right at me. The plane was so large that if it had crashed where I was it would have done major destruction. Just as the plane was getting ready to crash into the building where I was, the plane turn downward 90 degrees and went straight into the ground and disappeared. When the plane disappeared into the ground there was not as much as a crack in the ground.

The second scene was where I again was looking out a window and saw a plane. The vantage point was from the side where I was looking at a plane trying to land on a runway. Again it was getting ready to crash into something. I could not tell if it was the control tower or not. All I know it was a tall building. Again the plane did a 90-degree turn into the ground and disappeared.

I would love to know what the planes represent. I do not know if what I saw was a literal event that I need to pray about to stop it from happening or if it is a symbolic dream about other things

Fast forward to September 11, 2001 and she still didn't remember her dream. She had expressed that it was so horrible, she just blocked it out. Then later in 2001, it rang true. She felt like she failed God, because she felt He was giving her something to really pray about, and she didn't. When she shared this with me, I was just floored.

Yesterday I dreamed I was forced to go back to kindergarten, but as a 25 years old fella. The kids laughed at me when they saw me. A bizarre and bleak situation...I was drawing ugly pink rabbits, and then again, the kids laughed at my drawings! It was awful...

most of mine are weird

rarely do I have what I'd consider

a normal dream

the common thread to most of my dreams

is that stand-ins play the most well known people in my life

like my best friend is definitely my best friend

but his role is being played by somebody else

much like they do in soap operas from time to time

but I never get that voice over guy telling me about it

I was with a couple. A man and a woman. The man was a friend of mine and the woman was his girlfriend. I don't know either in real life. The man, teasingly hit me in the back of my head. The force with which he hit me shattered all my teeth. They did not fall out but were filled with cracks.
Alarmed I reached for my mouth and was afraid to speak because of how fragile I knew my teeth were. The woman, then jokingly swatted my mouth and all my teeth came apart. My mouth was full of tooth bits and I felt like I was going to choke if I didn't spit them out.
I spat them into the palm of my right hand and each of the bits looked like miniature whole teeth. I remember feeling like "how could they do this to me" but I was so freaking out that I couldn't address the grievance i felt over their inappropriate use of force and i felt like how could they not know they were hitting me so hard.
I am now walking down a highway. There are no cars on it, and I hear this enormous sound and I turn to look and there is this giant light that is moving through the sky. The essence of it was that it was a nuclear bomb but it didn't have the particulars about it like heat or a mushroom cloud. It did have destructive power though.
It was about the size and shape of a football field and as it barrelled through the sky, it was consuming everything in the sky including the sky itself. This man approached me and it was clear to me that he was the person responsible for this destructive light, and he tells me that I have the power to change their minds and that he would make it stop if I would force these people into a certain way of thinking. My sense is that this was a large group of people, like perhaps a nation, but I told him that I wanted them to believe in their own truth and that I wouldn't force them how to believe.
Then I'm walking through an elementary school campus and I see this crow. The crow drops something as it is perched on the telephone wire and the friend I'm with thinks that the crow took a poop but I saw something different. I thought it layed an egg.
So I go to where this white ball dropped and sure enough there is a baby bird on the ground. So I become alarmed because there was no way to know where the crows nest was located. The crow didn't seem to care that its young was on the ground and I picked up the bird with the intention of getting it to someone who could tell me now to feed it.
Originally the baby bird is about the size of a peanut but when I held it in my hand, it grew to fill the size of the palm of my hand. It was chirping and cheeping and it was blindly bobbnig about trying to get food. It started to peck at my finger and I thought that the crow thought it was a nipple to suckle on. At first it tickled but the baby bird grew more desperate and was pecking harder and it grew these little teeth that drew blood when it started to bite me out of its desperate hunger.
I endured the pain of the biting because it was just a baby and I thought it only right that I tolerate it since I was trying to be responsible for its well-being. I'm now roaming through an amusement park and I find my sister and she is setting up this game tent. I'm so relieved because I know she will help me. She is with a woman who is helping her and I'm asking for them to help me figure out how to help this bird and they are just ignoring me and setting up the game tent. I start yelling saying I can't believe they won't help me and how can they ignore the baby bird.

I have both. In the last 2, I was on the plane and it starts to shake and lose altitude - in one dream I woke up before impact, in the other the captain announced he had to make an emergency landing in the jungle and then the plane skidded on it's belly through the trees and when we got off the plane, it turned into a bus and abandoned us there mad
