Cerebus? Man breaks into apartment, starts cooking, police sayAn apparently hungry burglar broke into a downtown apartment early Tuesday morning, starting cooking in the kitchen and fled when discovered by one of the residents, Madison police reported. The break-in and meal-making happened at about 3:40 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment in the 200 block of Langdon Street, police said.
A woman asleep at the time woke up to discover the man in the house, and called police as he exited through the front door, carrying a bag of food and an iPod.
"The victims said the man looked homeless," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.
No information was available on what the man cooked.
