This is my current background on my laptop, running Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat as my OS.

I change my background fairly regularly - had this one for about a week now.

Mine are black and have been for many, many years. Pics are too distracting. I'll occasionally put a small one in the center, but usually they're just black.

I lived in the Bay Area for 10 years....

and I NEVER drove across the Golden Gate Bridge

maybe I should make it part of my 23rd birthday plans......
