...willingly going without sleep for days while your loved one is taking back to back nebs because he can't breathe.
...spending all your money for medicine without reservation and sacraficing those books and supplies you need for the design course you spent all your hard earned money on...again
... telling your loved one that his dad misses him so much, when in reality dad stays away because he can not handle dealing with a child that is so sick
...loving someone in time of sickness and seeing them through it with a warm smile and embrace
... seeing a child smile and it just brightens your entire day of cleaning up vomit and suddenly you realize slipping in vomit becomes a sweet memory because it made him smile
Love is not a fucking diease, love is the force that gets you through the impossible where others would give up and lose all hope.
Love is what I have with my child... who is sick all the time, I can not keep a job, I can not finish school, I have no support from my family, his father left me and his little sister. Through all this I am very fortunate, we always find a way, we are happy and yes, even blessed. People love my son and by extension love me too because they pray for us and keep us encouraged, they make my tears go away and keep us on the road to getting my son better.
