The Bulls are 2 incompetent 2 pull this off. Can the Knicks?

Yahoo! Sports reports: Carmelo Anthony still hopes to persuade the Nuggets to trade him, preferably to either the Bulls or Knicks, an NBA source with knowledge of Anthony's wishes told Yahoo! Sports.

The Knicks have limited assets to offer the Nuggets, which makes the Bulls a more appealing potential trade partner. The Bulls can offer a replacement small forward in Luol Deng(notes), as well as two young forwards in James Johnson and Taj Gibson.

Why would Denver want the Knicks' garbage? Bulls have more to offer.

The Chicago Bulls are interested in trading for the Denver Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony and are discussing internally including Joakim Noah as part of the deal, according to a league source.

According to the source, the Nuggets are hesitant to take back Luol Deng as part of a deal with the Bulls because Denver is leery of taking on long-term contracts with the collective bargaining agreement set to expire on June 30, 2011. Deng is two years into a six-year, $71 million contract.

I don't understand why so many players mention Chicago as a place they want to be traded. confused It's constant and it makes no sense. At BEST they've reached average only a couple times since MJ left. Plus, basketball is a Winter sport. I'd be like, trade me to Pheonix! lol

I agree with all sides of him going to Chicago, though. Denver should be careful what contracts they take on, but it doesn't really matter because management in Chicago will mess this up anyway. Regardless of all that, it would be a solid team if they could get him for a bunch of second tier starters and bench players.

Still think he's going to NY eventually anyway. All he needs to do is ride out his current contract and see how much money NY has to offer.
