Oh no Eric!!!!! Eric!!!!! I knew he had a heart, I knew it. Oh no more Eric...NOOOOOOOO
I'm glad Hoyt and Jessica have finally gotten back together, but what is his sneaky fat mother going to do to wreck their romance????
Damn doesn't Sookie have any trust in Bill? What the fuck does the man have to do to prove that he only wants to love and protect her, yet she doubts his ass all the time??? She's pissing me off.
What's up with Tara and Sam? Have they both gone ????
Tara is right about one thing, she is the only one who cares or cared about Eggs. I sure haven't missed his ass.
Lafayette's losing his damn mind too...but its mighty interesting where it will lead to.... [Edited 8/29/10 19:29pm] [Edited 8/29/10 19:30pm] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Sam is "Joe Lee in a Sam suit".
Ditto on Eggs. He was so boring.......like Alcide. Their characters are so flat. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Lame episode. This season started strong, but now it totally sucks.

Never realized that many people were killed over the series. Eric's too important to die now, but I don't wanna see Russell die off in the finale. So far he's been the best villain of the series....way better than Maryanne & Rene. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Terry's excitement through this whole ordeal is hilarious. Weird how he can't pick up on Arlene's lack of enthusiasm. That's not a good start for a couple expecting a child. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

arlene is a messed up character and has so many damn phobias that if u say boo she jumps out her skin and very ignorant. regardless even if it is rene's baby, doesn't prove shit that a child will grow up to be a murderer, prejudice, pyscho. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

The very beginning of this new episode at the vampire club with the silver water, and freeing Sookie was BAD... but then every single scene after that was seriously great. Especially the scene where Tara confronts the Sheriff and they have her say nothing and just look at him. That's some good direction. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

So the running theme seems to be that each seasons big bad has no problem with trusting someone they normally shouldnt/wouldnt under any other non selfish reason. I hate what they've done to Tara this season. I didn't like her scene with the sheriff at all.

Yeah, that was pretty flat too! I wonder if Tara's pregnant with Franklin's baby or if she will be with Sam's. hmmmmm Um... let me warm up my vocals

OMG seriously??? That was one of my FAVORITE scenes of the night!!!!
Andy was breaking my heart!! It was so ultimately uncomfortable. And then his heart-felt apology!! It totally stole Tara's cool. Took the heat right out of her.

And Tara can't be pregnant with Franklin's baby. In the Sookieverse, vamps cannot impregnate humans. I'm firmly planted in denial

That's the only thing cheesing me this season. How has Russell survived this long being as freaking gullible as he has the last couple of shows?

I really think AB dropped the ball with Alcide. He was so much more in the books and while I work to keep True Blood separate from the books, AB did ZERO justice to the Sookie saves Bill/Has big chemistry with Alcide storyline.
Eggs was no big deal in the books, so I wasn't expecting much of him in the show. The actor that played Eggs really did a great job with what he was given.
I'm on the fence about all this "dark side" stuff going on with Sam. I'm all for having the dark, rotten past, but I'm hating Sam's current fall into assiness. I'm loving Tommy. He's abrasive and the biggest pain in the ass and I love that. Then to see him freak out when Sam went all "Joe Lee" on him. I love the complexity. I'm firmly planted in denial

It's a problem with the show that their villains are really quite silly. l loved Mary Ann so much, but when she would put on those stupid horns and run after people, she looked idiotic. And Russell (who, by the way, seemed totally evil and powerful in the flashback where he killed Eric's family) now seems goofy and powerless. For that matter, so does the Queen, who really should be big and bad and awesome.
Anyway, the show reminds me of that line from "The Invincibles," where the villain says something like, "Look at that! You've got me monologuing!" That's kind of what the villains do on True Blood. Spend a whole bunch of time talking about their evil plans when they should just kill the person.
And why the hell didn't anyone think to bring that liquid silver spray that they had at the beginning of the show?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
My thing is, why the hell Tara is so suddenly so in love with this man? Most of the time when they interacted and fucked was when they were under Maryann's control and in a zombie like state. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

See those plot details like "the baby" or Sookie's fairy nature... are completely flat to me. But when you have more interesting acting like in that scene with Tara and the sheriff, just her silent look was a thousand times more engrossing to me than the entire "action packed" beginning. I could not look away when the sheriff started to break down, and looking at Tara's face you can see something is changing in her attitude, but she doesn't say some dumb line of dialogue, and I was in suspense when I saw that.
The one scary moment came when Lafayette sees that hallucination of Jesus in that green mask or whatever it was. That was so eerie.
Actually even the witch ritual evoking "Mother Nature" was eerie, and so much more so because there was no cheesy effect or shadow or possessed voice, etc. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

Oh, one other complaint about last night's show: Why did Jason go watch that kid play football when he was supposed to be looking for Sookie? That storyline is dumb as hell and throwing it into the middle of everything was incredibly poor pacing...kind of like last week when they just randomly killed off the vampire who raped Tara.

I'm pulling in info from the book so I could be wrong, but the way I see it is ITBs football is big in Bon Temps, so the football field is a place to be. Also, Jason is a "jock" so going to look at the foot field made sense to him as that's somewhere he might be if he were "missing".
Kitch being on the football field was a coincidence. It was an interesting scene and very disjointed, but I think setting things up for next season.

I completely agree with you there. AB is really dropping the ball on that I hate how he's portrayed Sophie Anne...I do like the goofiness, they've gone too far. I'd like to see more fierceness to. I'm firmly planted in denial

Solid episode except for that Jason and Crystal nonsense. Loved the ending!

@ people thinking Eric will die, dude is the most popular character AND next season is heavily centered around him. He's safe!
I liked how Sookie kept defending him to Bill, who was desperate to hear her say she was done with Eric for good. She SO enjoyed that kiss last week

Well umm that's because he was frying up like scrambled eggs outside in the sun when he handcuffed Russell to him. To the viewer (and people who HAVEN'T read the series books), it looks like Eric is sacrificing himself to get rid of Russell as he really didn't have many options on how to kill that blood sucker. And who is actually going to jump in and save Eric if he doesn't die??? Pam? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Probably Sookie after she gets revived. There's a clip in the promo for the finale where's she running out of the club with a silver chain, probably to subdue Russel and save Eric.
