hey! where is that? I've been to a place kinda very much like that

It's a place alot like Johnny RocKets and I think it's called the Five and Dime Diner. I bought one of those "entertainment books" that the kids sell to raise money for school. It was one of the places that had the "buy one get one" coupon in it. I like those coupons because we got two great burgers for the price of a crappy burger and a happy meal at McDonalds. Plus we had a waitress and my daughter had to act like a human being and give her her order etc. She really enjoyed it.

They had a big screen TV with I love Lucy on and there in plain view was Lucy Ricardo smoking away about a foot away from little Ricky. I had to laugh. My daughter did not realize that Lucy smoked - ALOT lol .

I did have fun, thanks for the well wishes. I hope somebody gets married on my 50th birthday too! It's alot of fun and you don't have to plan anything or be responsible for the mess etc. Also the focus wasn't on me either. (I just hope that next year is not a family funeral - that would be the worst sad ).

What a cute picture!

Thanks, I am glad that I took pics there. The background popped nicely even in phone pics. Thanks Serious for saying that she is cute. Her eyes get alot of compliments. They are light with dark circles around the iris so that the blue color really pops out and you can't miss them. They also tilt up a bit on the ends. they are just like her fathers and I prayed that whether the child was a boy or girl, they would have his eyes. (I have brown but my dad has blue, 3 out of four of my grandeparents have blue.)

You have a beautiful daughter, I love her smile heart

I do think your sister was a bit envious, simply because the dress you wore sounds like a daring choice and not one she could pull off.I am glad you had a lovely time at the wedding, and yes... if you recieved compliments then it must have looked great on you! yay!

no no no! Bad auntie!

Thanks hug I will go out on a limb fashion wise and my sister is pretty conservative. However, I have an odd-ball personality and I actually look more awkward when I try and blend in. I feel more confident in clothes that play up my artistic and zany streak and always seem happier in pics where I have let my freak flag fly (fashion wise).
