The good things that Fantasia do is rarely covered by the media or the local Charlotte

I definitely can see the double standard when it comes to Alicia and Fantasia. But what about the double standard to blame the woman when a man cheats on his wife? He should be blamed first and foremost, he promised to be faithful to his wife.

And yes people fall in love and do things they might not have thought they would do. You cannot choose who you fall in love with. That's how life is and I wonder if all the people who are so quick to judge are perfect themselves.

And I'm sure if Fantasia didn't live in NC where she could be sued and end up having to pay money to the scorned spouse AND if her man had asked her to marry him THEN Fantasia would not have taken those pills.

I also remember Alicia getting slammed for being with Swizz....but she stayed quiet and did what she wanted to do.

Maybe more people aren't speaking out about this because they realize their own lives are not perfect? How many of us would want our personal lives in the spotlight? Why do people have such contempt for people they don't know?

Thanks Ernest for reminding me by way of highlighting my typo that I will never be as perfect as you. And I was simply expressing my opinion on the matter, which if I am not mistaken, I am still entitled to do.

Now if you have a problem with me having a problem with this situation (and others like it) then that is strictly YOUR problem. And since you felt the need to tell me that Alicia doesn't care, let me add this....I don't care whether or not Alicia care how I feel, because at the end of the day...it is her life and has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with me. My comment wasn't directed towards you in particular if that's what you were thinking. I was just stating that people are making assumptions based on gossip sites and magazines, that's all. You can say that "the things that he has done (not honoring his vows and denying the product of his infidelity)are wrong and she is dumb for being a willing participant and appearing to believe that it will work out differently for them." , his wife or ex-wife was talking crap about them but Swizz also said that he had split up with his wife long before Alicia because she didn't want him to spend any time with his younger son. Did he say that or did she? I guess it probably doesn't matter, right? Whoever it was I agree that it is sad when a child is thrown in the middle of his/her parents' mess. Was Swizz paying child support? If so, then she would have no choice but to let him see his child or at least that is the way it is suppose to be. Swizz, accordingly to press, was already cheating with the lady in Germany after leaving his then wife. Still, that's no reason to keep a father from his child. But, why not get a divorce before jumping into a new relationship? If love is indeed what you feel for the other person, then (as hard as it may be) you should hold off until you can do it the right way. And separation is not divorce, yet people treat it as such and then you have stories just this. No, I didn't think you were talking about me.

I am so glad you said this. I am not speaking of Ernest per say but I find this happens alot when I create a topic or comment on things. It almost makes you not want to come back here and I tend to stay away for awhile. Just thanks for saying this
