Well, that's shitty for me because that's my natural colour, so it not fitting me is pretty weird.

I can't go back to dark, my roots come in too light and it is way to hard to maintain. This is why I went back to natural.

Oh well.

My natural colour doesn''t fit me either although it is supposed to be like that as far as I know.

Isn't it a lot easier to maintain a hair colour that is darker than your natural one than one that is lighter? And a lot less "stress" for the hair too? I wish my natural hair colour was lighter than the one I die my hair and not the other way round.

No, for me it's terrible. My roots literally come in white so they seriously glow next to the dark hair. I was doing my roots every 2 weeks and then....the colour simply stopped taking on the sides of my temple. Now with my hair being light, the white areas are not as noticeable.

The only think I dislike about your pic is that angry face, hair looks completely fine...

but yeah, there's nothing worse than a bad haircut, hair is sacred; I still remember the day I got a truly bad haircut (which made me look bald mad) : I refused to pay (and I nearly got in a fistfight for it) and I used a cap/hat during two weeks...

As I suffer from alopecia the hair that grows back (after a while) is white and won't take to dye so I am left with a Mallon streak - well at least its different.

Well, it looks awful compared to what my hair used to look like.

It's only one picture - haven't done a walk around or anything - but I like it. I like the color, too. shrug

If it goes white and with you dying it red (which is tricky to make hold), it just might happen.

Then you can go crappy blond too. woot!

That's interesting. I wonder why that happens. I never had a problem until this year.

I didn't cause a scene...although I probably should have.

I was starting to have an anxiety attack so I busted out of there as fast as I could.

As you said before its because it is missing the "red" element of the hair and so won't take. Even if I use a dye with red in it eg chestnut it still won't take. Apparently the hair that comes through is different in texture, colour and thickness. Also hair that was straight seems to come though with a distinctive wave but it is thinner.

bawl Right now I am not that far from crappy blond anyway bawl. My current red is kinda natural red and I don't like it too much, but will have to stick with it for a long time probably sigh. I look like if I had natural curls and natural red hair lol.

I ahve about 10 white "hairs" (pieces of hair?) on my head and they are thicker than the my other hair.

We are all different but from what a hair dresser said to me is that when hair is stripped of colour it does expand and when colour is put in the shaft gets smoother. I think that with alopecia you hair goes all to cock anyway. (english expression!)

Thanks to both of you for explaining, I jsut hope it will work to still dye it red. My hair dresser said it should be easier then that it is now as it is not necessary to go blond first...

oh, don't get me started. It's why I only cut my own hair now. After a couple of years, you'll think it's the strangest thing ever letting a complete stranger loose on something so personal and important as your hair. We've all been fooled.

My hair is too short at the crown now so I have the conehead bump I have to fight with till it grows out an inch or two (or a few). neutral

It's my own fault because I cut it rashly on a whim and told the girl I wanted to go "high" in the back but was not specific about how high. doh!

Your hair looks fine. hug

I would never reply to the divine words of Santa Jesus in such a manner.

I originally had the quote with Erin's hair photo in my reply, but I thought the last thing she needs to see is a pic of that ugly mop yet again so I deleted it. And because I did that God is now cross with me.
