I need some names for colours, in sets

these are my basic colours:

yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, indigo, violet, blue, green

(not grey, brown etc)

if I was to use a jewel/gemstone theme it might be:

gold, topaz, ruby, etc

or fruit:

banana, peach, cherry, plum, blueberry, kiwi etc.

Can you think of any other sets where I might be able to cover that basic colour set?

headlp

even if you just throw random colour names at me I'll be writing them down geek

Well if it weren't for kids I might suggest cowardice, anger, sorrow, envy...and that's all I got.

I would drop the identifying color name orange clown ... and/or just go Latin with it....but Latin names are LONG... but even better for educating kiddies, they'll laugh trying to pronouce the names.

yeah I know, it's a bit advanced boxed

We have 2 products with levels and have 2 more products coming out next year.

The trouble with straying beyond the colours we have already, is that the activities get copied onto coloured copy paper and we are limited by their range at the office supplies store

these are the colours readily available to the teachers to copy onto

so a set of 5 colours that roughly co-incide with these.

AND I see grey IS there, but I think for a kid it's a bit blah, my client wants BRIGHTS!!!!

Flowers could be good, but possibly a bit girly, so I'd extend it to plants hmmm

as long as the 5 are different colours to each other, it doesn't have to include blue nod

if you have aubergine or eggplant, there's a purple

Yeah I would have said Eggplant, but a name like "Eggplant" doesn't really sound good for purple.
