The Young Ones...classic comedy

I hadn't seen it for years and last night I couldnt sleep and switched the TV on and there it was....The Young Ones.

Absolutely loved this programme in the 80's and remember it's what everyone talked about in the playground.

The episode last night was the Video Nasty one where they get a loan of a video player from Harry The Bastard who works down rumbelows falloff

I hadnt forgotten any it touched

ahhh nostalgia

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

My brother and older sister used to watch this. I was a bit young, but I do remember finding this bit funny.

I had (and haven't) any idea of who Felicity Kendal is, but " la-ti-dah, Ive got a pair of Felicity Kendal underpants, and they could use a good scrubbin" still makes me burst out laughing. That, and "piss off postie!"

good times...good times. razz

This show totally hipped me to a bit of Brittish slang and pop culture. Who knew that a 'vacation' was a 'holiday'. Or that a degree is an "o level"?

Plus, it grossed my mom out, which made watching even more rewarding. touched
