There is no debate. Kobe will never be as great as Jordan, no matter how many rings he gets. He's not on Jordan's level as a player. It's like Jim Brown - no matter how many cats pass him in rushing yardage, they'll never be a back like him. Emmitt Smith is great, no doubt, but he's not on Jim Brown's level.

See, now you trippin'. To sit there and say that Kobe isn't on MJ's level is pure hateration of Kobe. Kobe IS on MJ's level, simply because he can do everything MJ can do and has done it vs better swingmen than MJ did for a large portion of his career. And Barry Sanders is above Jim Brown.

Dude, you're the one who's trippin'. I'm a Knick fan...no one hates Jordan more than me. But to say Kobe's on Michael's level is insanity.

....and Barry Sanders is the fourth greatest running back in NFL history. No one, I repeat NO ONE, can match Jim Brown, one of the greatest athletes this country ever produced.

Actually......I'd take Walter Payton over Jim, but I still love Jim's game.

Basketball & (American) Football are NOT the same kind of sports. And also, the key word is "greatest" NOT "best".

Not only is Michael Jordan the greatest non-center basketball player of all-time, but he also lived up to his potentials way better than a center like Wilt Chamberlain ever did. Think about it. Will alll of the natural abilities Wilt had back in the days, he should've won 7 championship rings, NOT just 2 rings.

So the fact that he only won 2 rings diminshes his accomplishments and his stake

as possibly being the best player ever. There's a lot of great players that should

have won a ring but it doesn't always turn out that way.

If THAT is the case, then Dononique Wilkins is greater that Larry Bird. And we both know that is pure bullshit (despite that 'Nique was a better scorer than Bird at the height of their rivalry). lol Bird has 3 rings & a gold metal. 'Nique has neither.

Look at the numbers Brown put up, in a 12-game season and a more physical NFL. Sick.

Brown, OJ, Sweetness, Barry, Sayers and Earl Campbell are my holy grail of NFL backs.

Then again, MJ never faced a great center in the NBA Finals. Ever.

You're right, he never faced a great center in the Finals, but the Bulls did beat teams with great centers in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. They went up against Ewing and the Knicks on a regular basis and they went up against Shaq and the Magic.

So to say Jordan never faced a great center is kinda false.

He did go up against great Power Forwards like Malone and Barkley. The Bulls also went against the Sonics with Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton in their primes.

No, read it again - I never said he didn't face a great center, I said he never faced a great center in the NBA FINALS. And he didn't. So that is true.

But then again, Kobe never waited to be given his props, he just takes it. 81 points, anyone?

Do they have 2 be sprung......or just deal with facts?

Brown was great. But don't act like his level of competition man-vs-man was on the level the athletes are today. A DE like Javon Kearse would've gained 2,000 yards back then, there were no Javon Kearses when Brown rolled out. Brpwn was a freak of nature back then, but today he'd have to deal with LBs as big and as fast as he was.

Now i agree with you on Kobe being on MJ's level but Barry Sanders being the GOAT.

Hell to the naw. Now he was a great back but i would have even taken Emmitt over him

and i'm not a Cowboys fan in no way shape or form. And he wasn't the greatest either. lol

Barry was good at hitting the home run play but he often would get hit in the backfield

for a loss. Barry wasn't a chain mover the way Emmitt was but he would always make

that spectacular play. Emmitt could do both and was a much better blocker than Sanders.

Emmitt was just a better all around runner than Barry. For the record as far as running backs

i've seen play in my lifetime, Walter Payton was the best. My favorite to watch was Eric Dickerson. If he wouldn't have played prima donna with the Rams he would've have broken all of Payton's records first. Eric Dickerson was so smooth he looked like he was jogging while defenders chased him.

Jordan is one of the top two greatest NBA players of all time. I can't put Kobe there - above Oscar, Kareem, Magic, Bird, West? Hell no!!!

Kobe stans are just as nutty as Jordan stans. I see this nonsense at other sites, and it's mostly younger cats.
