Webcam. I have Skype but when I log on no one else does.

I've Skyped with two people total and only one of them had a webcam so we were both able to see each other.

I've never used my webcam for anything else.

I didn't have it yet then. I can't imagine why I wouldn't want you to see me. Maybe I looked a mess.

i've never used skype, because my family in brazil all uses cell phones, and it gets too costly to use it for them, and they can't afford land lines. so we just use cheap phone cards that we buy for $5, and it lets us talk to them a while. otherwise we keep in contact through orkut or msn (which we use with webcam).

It came on my laptop but I've never used it. I tend to be resistant toward new technologies until someone or something "forces" me into them.

I do that by using the Skype app on my phone. So that I can call internationally for cheap.

For 15 euro per month on top of what I'm paying now, I get free calls anywhere in the EU + US & Canada and I don't have to deal with that Skype crap.

i'm sometimes like that too. i hate talking on the phone too, i avoid it as much as i can! internet is way better for me.

I have one that works very intermittently

most of the time NOT

but then again, most of the time I don't look presentable either so it's just as well

I'm pretty angry with skype right now after that last botched attempt

I really never use either, I don't have many people to chat with in that way.

You know what I don't like about Skype?

When people want a video call, it freezes up your computer especially when you're not expecting a video call.

It's also bad as having it in your start-up menu, your computer will start up slower than usual. I've just turned it off unless I wanna check who's online and sometimes it'll be just one person so why bother with it?
