True
I think that clearly not everyone has the ability for compassion or kindness, but I'd like to say that I believe we are (people born between 1935 and 1990) the most compassionate and advanced society of all time. Just remember how nasty was the 19th Century or the first half of the 20th Century. Hell, I'm glad I was born in 1985...

For the most part those things have to be taught and observed, just as manners have to be taught, they aren't innate either. Granted human beings or born with distinct personalities why some appear to posses ruth from birth while other's lack empathy for others is the $62,000 question. Nothing is set in stone; some people who possessed compassion and kindness can lose their ability to be, just as people who were ruthless can evolve to be kinder caring people. The human condition or the debate of they importance of nature vs. nurture. . .

Fenwick, and Vendetta, and my other guest, were FANTASTIC on the show! You really should go listen to these guys talk about compassion in society, and the lack thereof. The hour flew by!
But when you download the podcast, stick around, because there's a 30 minute After Party with a big music mix of Meshell Ndegeocello (she gave us permission to play anything from her four indie albums), N'Dambi, Justin Utley, and a bunch of other people you're gonna love. I start with Meshell's cover of "Love You Down" from Ready For the World.
Thanks to all who came on the show, dropped in the chat room, and listened via phone. Much appreciated. Next week - Interracial Relationships.

That was a great show ernest!
I started laughing SO hard when you mention facebook, and the whole farmville thing, cause my sister is addicted to farmville,to the point that she would rather play, and chat on there, than to her boyfriend that is right there!
I have always come across people that when they ask me to do something for them, they automatically think that I must expect to be paid for it. Like last week my Mother's boyfriend had kneee surgery, and was feeling bad for not being able to help around the house so he asked if I could come by,and do some cleaning,so it was taking someof that off her hands, which I thought was very nice. So I said sure. So the next day I went to help, and right off the bat he asks "How much do you want an hour?" I told him he did'nt have to pay me to help my Mom.
I have no problem doing things for people, and I NEVER expect to get something in return. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach
