I had a Ken when I was a kid growing up in rural Australia but our one toystore probably stocked two dolls max per season.

I used to have busy hands equestrian barbie, she also was a non-smiling one but without the side-eye. She had moveable thumbs!

My mom and I still have Barbies from our childhoods...There's a couple of mine I would never sell. I have like three huge rubbermaid tubs full of Barbie stuff: One has about 100 Barbies and Kens and Skippers and so on, one has all of their clothes and shoes, and the last one has all of their cars and furniture. My dolls were livin' large, lol.

Question: Why do the dolls look like HOOKERS these days? Especially the ones geared towards the tween audience (like those damn Bratz dolls). In my day, Barbie and Co. was a respectable bunch! LOL!

My sister and I gave all our barbies (we's somehow acquired about 15 of them after a neighbour put out some hard rubbish on their nature strip ) to the girl next door.

2 years ago, I found out that poor girl wasn't allowed to keep them! her staunch feminist mother made her throw them away!!!

she could have given them back for us to find them a new home!
