It's 3rd shift, but he'd work 12 hour shifts 2 days on 2days off, then 3 days on 3days off.

So, I could get the kids on the bus in the morning before I go to work, and he could get them off the bus while I'm at work. Then when I'm off on maternity leave, we'll have alone time with the baby.

It starts out at 12.71 an hr and goes to 15.71 after 90 days, full benefits kick in right away.

Ouch, 12 hour shifts sounds pretty brutal, especially if it involves a lot of heavy lifting and such. On the other hand it sounds really nice to get three days off in row every three days. I wouldn't mind working on a schedule like that if the job wasn't too physically demanding.

I don't know if it involves heavy lifting or not, the only thing that sucks is it's hot. Like the make the aluminum in 100 and some degrees or some shit.....but ya, all the days off are a plus. I'm just happy it's something and 15 dollars an hr is really good for around here.

Is $9/hr normal where you live though? Is it enough to survive on if you don't have to provide for anyone else? In Sweden I think $15/hr is about average and $9/hr would be below minimum wage. But what is considered good wages depends on the cost of living in each area, so it's all relative.

7.15 I think, is what minumum wage is. Its 7 something. Um, well my check is 276 a week after taxes and I get 160 a week for child support. Is it ENOUGH? Well the bills get paid, but just barely. :lol:

oh and the minimum wage is 7.25. it's gone up a lot in the past couple years...in 07 it was 5.85
