now is Alfre's character really that random or are we expecting some real crazy out of her?

Talbot's death was obvious from the human eric flashback wont miss him a bit since he was nothing more than your typical "Queen." I was hoping that during the girlfight we would get some more jedi lightining from Sookie just to give her some understanding what she is and when the power becomes active. jessica rocked. The only think Im somewhat interested in is the jason/meth/sam/brother storyline is the boy that was eating a deer carcass.

Plus Im finding that all of the characters may have or get the ability through whatever to have some "special" power kinda played out.

Yeah Im kinda disappointed in this season.

Didn't they say witches was gonna be the theme for season 4? I guess they've been dropping hints, especially with the last episode. They need to hurry up & get the ball rolling with the Hotshot people too . It's already been hinted at. I haven't read that far into the books yet, but I've been told about them. You could tell too how the one cousin that was in jail was pacing around the cell.

idk about tara acquiring powers, but i think lafayette definitely already has powers judging by that little speech that jesus gave him. we will just see lafayette coming into his powers which probably come from his not so crazy after all mother

I hadn't heard that, but it would be parallel to book 4 and that makes me kinda tingly in my nether regions.

Is Alcide a major character in the books? I'd support a spinoff show about the werewolves of Mississippi on HBO. The Sooki-Bill-Eric triangle is already crowded enough, so, even if Alcide is smokin' hot, it's just one too many people to really be interesting.

Alcide is a major character for one book, maybe two if I remember correctly. He pops in from time to time throughout the remainder of the series though. The Weres eventually become more entagled in the various storylines. It'll will be interesting to see where Alan Ball takes it though.

That's one thing that I always had a hard time with in reading the books. There are just soooooo many characters!
