While SCNDLS is ridin' on cloud 9 in her car, let's name your hoopty What were the quirks? Did you have to start it with a screwdriver or some shit?
Mine was my 1978 Dodge Omni....bought it for 300, drove it for a few months, then hit a HUGE pothole, broke the front axle....I didn't have the cash to fix it, so I half assed jerry rigged it.
It lasted a few more months, then junked the shit outta it.
Very similar to this:

My first car was a 1980 Dodge Omni 024. It didn't have power brakes or power steering (it was rack and pinion, which is literally UNHEARD of today). It didn't even have power windows or locks, or even air conditioning, for that matter. All's it had was a sunroof, a radio, and louvers. The louvers were added after these pictures were taken, to give the car a bit more of a "sporty" look. It wasn't the fanciest car on the road, but it was reliable and got me where I had to go. I loved that car.

My first car aka beater car, hoopty, was a 1988 Ford Escort hatchback. It had rust, and holes. I spent $750 and then a bit to keep it running. It got me and my sis from MN to NY so I can't hate. Woke up one morn and it was dead

My friend had a 1976(?) Ford LTD 2-door that had one window roller-downer. She kept it in the center and if you wanted to put your window down, you had to push it in socket on your side. The radio was dial (obviously) and the station would change when she turned corners. It also backfired everytime she went over 40 mph. She beat the hell out of that car. I forgot what its name was... The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

My first car was a 1973 Chevy Vega. They don't even make that bitch no mo! I bought it brand new after I graduated from college. I think I paid $2400. It was a copper color, like a brand new penny; consequently, her name was "Penny." I kept it for 2 years and sold it to get a 1975 Honda Accord Hatchback 5-speed. I had two people bidding on that Vega in my living room. It looked brand new and had only 1500 miles on it. I sold it for what I put down originally, $1100.

My first car was one of these, a 1976 Datsun B210 hatchback. The one I had was dark brown which is why I named it the Little Brown Turd. Christopher damn!
