Not trying to take this too far off topic, but can anyone honestly say that Bria cant' sing? All we've heard was a studio mixed album which sounds pretty ok in my opinion. Gurrrrl, when I was at home, Florida was production central for booking over the hill geezers for k-list endorsements (especially in the early 90's before people got all internet savvy and took informercials for every word!). My first job was at a film production company, and later when I started doing wardrobe, I was amazed at all the countries that would clamour for US personalities we think of as noboides at home, and pay them the most outrageous sums of money for these enorsements. It would be crazy stuff like beauty creams or mixed alcoholic drinks or miracle viatmins from some obscure country, and these people would get a million dollars on upward for the infomercial and the print ads, for like 2 days work . girl I wouldn't be surprised if Chris had Bruce out there peddling orthopedic running shoes in Kenya and youth serum in Peru (cause um, you know he's a natural beauty ), we would have been none the wiser in the US and meanwhile she sitting at home counting stacks for the family and taking her 15% cut as his manager

I remember the first time I ever heard Kim Kardashian speak (about 2 years ago) I was absolutely bewildered because she sounded as dumb as a box of rocks, and (living overseas) I just didn't understand the hoopla. Listening to her and her mom on Larry King the only thing out of their mouths was business, business, business...like she grew up in the meantime and became a kinder, gentler version of Alexis Colby Carrington in the last 2 years : When Chris was asked which daughter was the most like her, without missing a beat she said Kim. She that's her twin and regarding business they think exactly alike...and who knew Chris has also been Bruce's manager for the last 20 years?? So all of his g-list sports endorsements for over the hill Olympians, he has her to thank for it. Oh well, it kept a roof over the family's head so...I'd say it Chris's timeto get him out there pushing AARP & Metamucil right about now. He's of age.

Honestly, that is a good question to ask me and for me to ask myself. After I posted this I went home and I somehow thought of Bria Valente. Now Bria did not go as far as Montana but it is pretty clear that being talented was not what got her the Elixer CD. At the time that Bria recorded the CD both Shelby J and M King were working with Prince and were far more able to carry a bunch of solo's and a duet then Bria. So why did he choose Bria? Could the answer be that she shows up at his house and dances so hot? Or maybe because she is not against grafically discussing her experiences of masturbating in the shower while thinking of Brother Nelson? Over and over again women who do the right thing and do it well get overlooked for some silicone shaking Harlet and that just makes me crazy. When young girls see that it makes it look to them like being a hussy is actually the right path after all. I think Kim Kardashian is one of the most beautiful women in America and I don't hate her. However it bothers me that the reason that she ,and everybody else in her family with KK initials ,has the income that they do is because of that sex tape with Brandy's brother. Even her Olympian stepdad owes some of his income from the past few years to that sex tape; it revived the publics interest in him.
(I must admit though that Kim Kardashian and her sisters seem to actually work a hell of alot harder then Bria Valente).
Not trying to take this too far off topic, but can anyone honestly say that Bria cant' sing? All we've heard was a studio mixed album which sounds pretty ok in my opinion. Not everyone is a Chaka Khan, but that doesn't mean that they can't sing. The true test would be to "mic" her up and let her blow live then we'll really know.
I get your point...in this society "looks" as well as "how low a person is willing to go" can allow one greater success. I always thought the saying "nice guys finish last" had and still has a lot of merit. Doesnt mean that you change who you are, you just become a better person. Hell Shelby coulda wore a long weave to make herself look more asthetically appealing to the masses, but she shaved that mother off, and is just going for what she knows. Thats all you can really do in this society, be the best that YOU can be. You can't "keep up with the Kardashians"...no pun intended.
I did n't say that the girl can not sing, I just said she didn't come anywhere near what the other girls could of done with any one of those songs. If you have a choice you pick the best singer for a CD period. When you clearly choose the weakest of the pack it clearly means that vocals was not what you based your choice on FINE. If it is your CD it is your choice; just don't go on Tavis Smileys show and throw the word Protege around and say she has a beautiful voice and expect that just because you say it eveyone is going to believe it . Most Prince fans like Prince because we like quality and therefore we can hear the difference between mediocre quality and superb quality. We just can. (accept for a few chicks that will go nameless).
I also would not be suprised If Ms Brenda took some Montana like Photos that we have yet to see. I saw the blue robe dance # and I find it difficult to believe it ended there.
Maybe she has spent some of her Target money buying some soft porn back. Again, I have no idea if anything racy was ever made but all paths seem to point there.
