Miami NBA Champs?...or Chumps?

I do NOT see this lineup holding an NBA Championship trophy next season. Do u?

Plus look at what they did 2 their sales staff. Ouch.

With the arrival of Lebron James, the Miami Heat rapidly sold out all their season tickets. That turned out to be bad news for the ticket-sales staff, which was fired Friday.

In a statement, the Heat confirmed the dismissals Friday afternoon, saying that with an ``exhausted'' inventory of season-tickets ``we no longer require a season ticket sales team to sell tickets.''

I do not believe that LeBron James is going to take being the #2 guy to Wade's #1 guy very well, but I could be wrong.

But I'm not.

In 2011? No.

In 2012? Yes, definitely!

I hope you're right. Hopefully the Lakers can squeeze one more in before Kobe's wheels give out and the Heat take over. The only way that happens is if the Heat bench isn't deep enough and Lebron and Wade tire out.

Were they actually fired, or just laid-off. I would imagine it's the latter, which means they'll get unemployment benefits. Sucks, but it's not like 10% of the country hasn't been going through the same thing.

I don't think they'll win next year, either. I think they'll make the finals vs. the Lakers, but Kobe will get the second three-peat. I do think they'll win one (at least) pretty quickly, though. Would be cool if somebody else in the West could become a real rival, too. But at this point I don't see it happening. Have to wait and see how this season shakes out after all the player movement. Also, the possibility of a lockout is pretty real. That could screw up a lot of plans real quick like.

But both of those teams would still have to deal with Boston.

Only if Boston beat the Heat would the Lakers have to deal with them. If that happened hopefully they'd be worn out and we'd get a repeat of last season-- championship! biggrin

Beware, Shaq has signed a 2 year-deal with Boston. Now they have 2 O'Neals (Shaq & Jermaine) on the roster. As soon as Kendrick Perkins returns from the IR list in January 2011, Boston will have a potential 3 headed monster in the center position.

Not a bad move by Boston.
