what can you do with quinoa?

I've been making and improvising on the recipe PurpleThunder gave me for months now, and LOVING it drool

what ELSE could I be making? excited

I've never made it but I was at a Trader Joe's not too long ago and they were making this with ranch dressing, tomatoes and cucumber, like a salad almost. It was pretty good biggrin

How do you make it?

I use mine as a substitute for white rice; in salads, soups, as side dish. It takes herbs and seasonings very well, and precooked quinoa can even be used to make patties and burgers. nodQuinoa Burger

I generally cook it in veggie broth (you can certainly use chicken or beef stock) and add onions and carrots and some garam marasala or even curry or whatever spices you like. Then top with some kind of protein (like honey and thyme marinated tofu fillets).

I use it like I would rice.

I have a recipe for stuffed peppers using quinoa that I haven't tried out yet. Maybe I'll give it a go this weekend.
