Ok so as i was saying day's ago i love Joseph=Gordon=Levitt think he's an amazing actor and he's one of my favorites of this generation i never got to see all of Mysterious Skin until today.

I must say i have not had a film that made me cry in years and years but this one almost had me in tears... Also i am still disturbed by some of the scenes in the film and i have seen hundreds of movies some of them the most gruseome/disturbing and psychological of all time but man...

For those of you have seen it the scene where Neil JGL is being called a slut by that guy then forced to have sex and being beaten really got to me i just was very disturbed by that scene it messed with me bad.

Another one that had me cringing was the scene with the coach and the ''fruit loops''

But overall one hell of a magnificent flick it was disturbing but it was showing how sexual abuse can affect someones life and the acting was beyond GREAT, I Am glad i saw this movie despite those rather cringe worthy scenes

I read the book over christmas of 1999 and started to watch it once, but I don't think I will, too upsetting

It is very upsetting but well worth a watch it's incredibly well made, acted it stay's for you awhile after you watch it.

Now yes JGL does look gorgeous in the movie but the movie is not sexy AT ALL nothing sexy about it is the first thing people should know before watching but since you read the book you probably know that.

I saw it and was very very disturbed.

It's one of those movies where you think it's just fantastic that people have made it, see it and never want to see it again, regardless of how good it is. Another one in this category is Boy's Don't Cry.

As far as I'm concerned if movies like this reach someone and help them, or stop someone becoming something terrible, they should make more of them.

They just make me cry. The rape scene is absolutely hideous

Boy's Don't Cry ow man that is a very sad movie especially the end that scene where they kill the girl in front of her baby bothered how much a soulless piece of utter shit can you be?

And as for MS that rape scene really has got to me it's just so upsetting and i feel terrible for the character.
