I held a baby and I liked it! It was my friends newborn, well not so new, about a month now. He was so adorable, and i could have looked into his eyes forever. It feels different to hold something so small and precious... and even though its not mine, its changed me. Just wanted to share. cool

something about holding babies.....it is so wonderful

we have a new baby in the family (no not mine) i enjoy holding and nursing her

i love how they get all cosy and sleep in your arms

Most definitely. At first, I couldn't get a hang of holding him correctly, so he was mad at me mad

But then when i held him right, it was like everything was right in the world cool

We foster parented once, years ago. We had every intention of adopting and our hearts were broken when they sent Cody back to the horrible home from where he had been removed.

Unless you've been through it, I can't adequately describe the feeling of having to hand over a child who has bonded with you and looks to you for safety/security/love knowing that he is just returning to some nightmarish backwoods abusive kind of bullshit. It's like the worst punch to your soul.

I think due to that experience we never again approached adoption.

...we did kind of talk about it again recently. lurking

That baby has the capacity to kill. I can tell.

I'm sorry for your pain, johnart. hug I know, child services and ministries are real dumbasses when it comes to situations like this. I just thought it looked so natural when you were holding that baby. I stand by my first statement...you'd make a great dad. Keep that under your hat. biggrin

That baby SOLD the crack to it's mother and then pimped her out for cash disbelief

Cute picture! You sound like me. I always say, "Babies are cute, and then they grow up to be teenagers". lol

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
