PONTIAC, Mich. – A Facebook feud between two women who claimed to love the same prison inmate led to a high-speed chase and a crash that critically injured one of the rivals, killed her friend and left the second rival facing murder charges.

Torrie Emery was arraigned Friday in Pontiac's 50th District Court on multiple felonies, as friends of the dead woman were holding a car wash to pay for her funeral.

I don't get the Facebook angle. Just sounds like a bad reporter or editor trying to "sell" a story through a headline.

This is VERY tragic and over what....some jailbird? I might sound like an ass for that one, but there's nothing appealing about potentially lethal jail sexin' that's gonna make me want to fight and high-speed chase someone else and endanger the life of those around me. Honey, if you want the man, HAVE HIM. I'm glad to be associated with my quiet, artistic man.

Internet feud? That's what little girls fight over. That's what the teens do. Not a grown woman who has altered her life FOREVER because of this. That's just sad.

When I see young women waiting for arraignment, preliminary hearing, pre-trial Motion more often than not, it's for fighting and/or seriously injuring and in some instances killing "the other" woman over a man. These women aren't slap fighting either shooting, stabbing, and running over suppose rivals is an all too common occurrence.

My wife has been DRILLING into my daughter...since about the age of FIVE...that self-worth and self-respect are above anything, including MEN.

Sounds stupid, since a 5 year old is not even thinking such thoughts, but you keep saying it enough, it gets ingrained in them.

Ask my daughter, now 10, if she wants to get married and have babies, and she will say 'yes' but only after she's traveled to Europe and become a fashion designer.

We will do everything in our power to make sure that she continues on this path.

NOW...how is it that the teens in this story have such little self worth & self respect? Fighting - to the point of murder - over a fucking INMATE? A man with probably no future and nothing going for him except probably a big d*ck. I mean, come on now. This is the 21st century. I feel like the guy at the end of "Schoo Daze", I wanna run in the middle of the street and yell; WAKE UP!!!

I only wish they were teens; they may have been salvageable. These are grown ass women running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The article said that at least one of the women had a child (who was even with her as she acted a fool in the car) And a vicious cycle continues...

Actually I've been trying for months to convince one of my friends to stop being hung up on a jailbird she goes to see now and then. She's gotten so close to him that his mother has her number on speed dial whenever he needs something or if she goes to visit, his mother will send stuff by my friend to give to him. I just don't get it. I ask her all the time, "what the hell has this dude been telling you for you to keep visiting him, writing and accepting his calls?" Like I mean really they haven't fucked or anything so I just don't understand. I told her, why waste your time getting hung up on somebody that will not be getting out of jail until 2016? What kind of future do you expect to have with this person?
