Random spoiler...in an interview at SDCC Alan Ball was asked who is in the last shot of the season. His answer was "no one".

I haven't watched last night's show yet. Hopefully tonight. excited

Again, too much Lorena and Bill. They both manage to ruin the show for me whenever they appear.

The rest was good.

It was awesome! I think we'll be seeing more from Franklin - Tara didn't cut his head off... Is Eric really dissing Sookie or is it part of his strategy? I feel bad for Lafayette, but I think we'll see Jesus again. Sam's parents are total scumbags...I hope they leave. I wonder if everyone will find out what Sookie is sooner than the end of the season!

Yeah, Tara should have cut his head off or staked him with one of the wooden tool handles hanging on the wall. He does survive. They showed him in the teaser for next week.

Anyone else freaking out because Bill was able to be outside in the sun? I'm thinking he must be dreaming. In the teaser it shows Bill going after Sookie, but he's already had her blood when he's had sex with her, so what's up??

CAN.NOT.WAIT. for next week!!! woot!

That was him cornering Tara? I just saw the back of his head, I guess. I did laugh my ass off when Tara picked the spiked mace of all weapons. She looked crazy as hell when she was going to town on his head. I pretty much laughed during all of Tara's scenes. "You don't have to ask me twice" . lol What the hell are they doing in that room with weapons anyway? Seriously...Franklin in a room full of weapons. lol

PS....am I the only one who doesn't think Alcide is hot? I mean, I don't think he's an ogre or anything. He just seems boring.

that freakish vamp that Tara bashed in his head, you know dang well that you can't kill a vamp like that! He will come back and get her (plus she has his blood in her system so she will be wanting him) He's not cute to me (looks like a bat or the kid from the Munsters)...

Franklin will be able to track Tara, as well, since she ingested his blood right?

Yes, that's his name Franklin LOL! She will be hot for him now in her thoughts because she took in his blood LOL! He will try to hunt her down though...

As for Bill and Sooki - Bill will take some of Sooki's blood (he will attack her) to heal and he will find out that he can go into the sunlight once again - she's special remember - a fairy! She doesn't know it yet...(I haven't read the books)

I kept saying NNNNNOOOOOO!!! everytime Lafayette and Jesus would pucker up to kiss! There's nothing wrong with gay people - I just think Jesus is hot and I was jealous that's all LOL! wink

Thing is, Bill's had Sookie's blood before, so I don't know why him having her blood NOW would make such a difference. Maybe it's the amount? He's had enough of her blood now? Or maybe it's a dream/halucination.

I can't wait to see Franklin's freak-out once he heals from the asskickin' Tara dished out. falloff He'll be able to find her easily because she has ingested his blood. nod

I thought that no show would ever top The Wire for me. And I got started late watching TB. But this show is by far the best I have ever seen on any network...PERIOD!

When I read the article on how they choose the sets, locations, etc. I was impressed. Attention to detail is awesome. They said that when you walked out of Eric's sex dungeon, you really felt like you needed a shower. lol

I replay scenes so many times and each time I notice something different.

The extended trailer for the second half of TB revealed Claudine. I've been hearing so much about her. Debbie kicking that door down is gonna be a trip. I'm ready to see how that'll play out. She looks and acts like she came straight from Jerry Springer. "Oh heeellllll, no. You fuckin' my wolf, bitch!"

Book readers....at what point in the book series is the show? I ordered the box set with books 1-8. I've been waiting for them to arrive for a little over a week....getting restless waiting for them. I'm off all next week....broke as hell to boot, so that'll give me plenty of time to relax & start playing catch up.

Last Sunday's True Blood episode "I Got a Right to Sing the Blues" is legitimately the best and only powerful episode of this normally silly but fun series.

This was the most solid episode and I'm actually in awe of it. NONE of the rest of True Blood was this strong (even though they were entertaining for the most part). This was seriously the only epeisode that actually had a sense of horror and mystique for me.

My next favorite episode is the one where Tara goes with Egg to try to trace back his memory to the field and they find the sacrifice site. That one also seemed seriously good.

i've just finished book two.

there are a lot of differences between the books and the tv series. Tara isn't even in book one for a start. i haven't seen any of season three yet.

season two did end on roughly the same note as the second book, with the maenad leaving.

True Blood is often a mixture of the sublime and the ridiculous and last Sunday's episode was no exception.

My opinion is that True Blood has always been ineffective horror cliche with great comedy and satire, except for two episodes with "sublime" qualities (last Sunday's being one). Absolutely no other episodes have ever been sublime in any way to me. But they were still fun and hilarious. The season finale for Season 1 had us cracking up. So I'm saying that last Sundays was quite the exception! And quite a surprise. Also episode 4 of the new season of Hung also was quite good.

Compared to the prior weeks episode of True Blood that ended with the glowing power form Sookie. That was not a good episode, and that part was not so good.

I'm curious to narrow down what combination of director/writer/editor resulted in the most recent episode. Even the music was better. Like the part where Sam is scrambling out of his place at night to get in his truck. The music was working.

Yes it's been fun so far, but I swear last week's episode was SERIOUS. Something possesed the creators of the show, and I really admired the episode.

It was the extended scene of the "talk show" with Nan Flanagan and the Louisianna Senator.

That was the Senator that was a customer of Lafayette's!!!!
