Strangely, I kinda liked Lady in the Water.

The Happening, however...should be added to my list. That film was AWFUL and made excellent actors look like they couldn't cut it in an 8th grade play.

And to Joe: Catwoman was the best thing in Batman Returns: Michelle Pfeiffer is an amazing actress and pulled the role off BEAUTIFULLY. My only caveat with that film is Christopher Walken...

=0P

I, too, liked Lady in the Water. boxed

Agreed, I liked all of Night's movies outside of the perplexingly horrible "The Happening". Sure, I saw that he had creative and visionary limitations before, but he was really great and staying within his limits and making something really interesting and ultimately kind of rewarding.

"The Happening" however, upon scholarly analysis, is, as they say, poo poo.

I wrote that last night when i was drunk and if I could have remembered The Happening then I would have added that too.

I can't even remember the twist in Lady In The Water,if there was one.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I've seen a ton of them, but most are excused due to low budget. Regardless of how low the budget is there is no excuse for Devil of Blue Mountain to be that bad. The last time I checked, the movie didn't even have an imdb page. It is honestly the worst movie I think I'll ever see. Blair Witch Project gets my vote as far as movies that have made it to the big screen. I was disappointed in how they hyped that movie up.

Lots of movies are terrible but that's usually no surprise. You just don't expect a masterpiece when you pop Ghoulies 2 and the like into your DVD player. It's the ones that should be better considering talent involved, major studio backing etc that are worth noting.

I think the latest example of that that I can remember was The Happening. Sure, after Lady In The Lake and a couple of other feeble efforts by Shyamalan I wasn't expecting much but The Happening was still astoundingly awful. It was almost physically painful to see the actors struggling with their horrible, stilted lines. And the plot went absolutely nowhere. Amazing that it even got made.

I didn't even notice these posts before I wrote mine about The Happening. Nice to see that I'm not the only one who was horrified by that mess.

Only good moment was ironically the only intentionally funny one; when Mark Wahlberg was talking to the plastic plant. "I'm still doing it...", lol.

It's very rare I get angry at myself for wasting time watching a film and it happened with both The Doom Generation and Nowhere. disbelief It's remarkable I even went to the theater and paid to see Mysterious Skin knowing my history with Araki, but he wasn't the screenwriter for that movie so it was good. smile

I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!

Mysterious Skin is amazing!, And i also have a thing for JGL! but the main thing i like about him is he's a good actor and this movie showed it!

Greg's other movies are CRAP

Nowhere tried to be so ''different'' as if he was the next David Lynch or something there all in drugs i get it nothing deep about it lol

The Doom Generation ugh next please

The Living End was ok... but not very developed and i thought the ending was sudden and kind of blah. Plus the whole these 2 are a gay Bonnie & Clyde thing never blossomed out.

Totally F..ed Up was ok as well but the story wasn't that strong & James Duval's one note performance became annoying

Splendor is Araki too, right? Great soundtrack, but I refused to see the film after I got fooled twice with The Doom Generation and Nowhere.
