Toddlers & Tiaras

What in gay fuckin hell is wrong with these mf's???

It is late. I must go to bed. I'm just gonna put this out there.

We just watched the episode with the little Latino girl with the OBVIOUSLY ghey (QUEEN-even) dad who made all her outfits and did her hair and makeup and taught her routines and the really pretty mom. I am too through. faint

Who watches this tv-crack???

BTW, out of all this wrongness... I love Brooklyn. She needs to be auditioning her Gays like ALREADY!! hammer

The closest I've come to watching this is when they had these mini-beauty queens on an episode of Food Network Cake Challenge...and OMFG these people are CRAZY! The mothers had to assist the cake decorators...and all of it. Every last bit. was about showing the MONEY they can win on the cakes. That's all they cared about. It was, really, quite gross.

The actual "toddlers and tiaras?" I know I couldn't stomach that...

=0P

Well it doesn't celebrate that. It actually makes the whole circuit and the parents look like the assholes they are.

<-------is watching TLC right now, but Hoarders is on. My walk-in closet is starting to look like a hoarder lives there. redface I couldn't imagine my whole place being like that though. One lady had so much stuff piled up that they discovered dead cats in her house. eek cats....plural. disbelief It's a mental sickness though. sad

I've seen an episode or two of Toddlers & Tiaras. I mean, people can do whatever they want when it comes to this. I just know that if I have a child, I wouldn't participate in events like this. Some of those little girls are sore losers & really snotty. I wonder how they interact with their classmates.

Yeah I think the dollchildren families are really weird. The kids are more like pets than family members.

Exactly. I see it as almost a form of child abuse.

Beauty pageants in general are becoming less and less popular. I would hate to watch ANY program about a parent pushing their kid into a competition.

They need to make one in Canada for kids forced to play hockey with mean coaches and yelling parents. Just as awful IMO.

The saddest part is the moms are like pushing their daughters to be what they wish they could have been...or at best what they think they used to be. I feel bad for pageant girls.

I dont get it.....why would somebody give the ugly pervs money to judge their child? And then to spend something like $500 for an entry fee on a pageant when the top prize is maybe $1,000 (and you had to pay for a hotel, travel, dresses etc.--so you really spent thousands)

Who benefits other than the creepy pageant directors? That little miss perfect pageant show, that director is soooooooo nasty and gross looking....looks like a perv for real....

You know something is terribly wrong and you've entered some sort of Twilight Zone dimension when some toddler (literally a toddler) is mouthin off to her mom but they need subtitles cuz they don't yet speak clearly enough.

On a serious note, I don't watch those shows but from the little I've seen about those "beauty pageants", it can get crazy.

I mean, I'm all for showing off your cute kids and maybe putting them through modeling or whatever...but to subject them to the crazy routines and makeup and all that crazy pageant crap is horrible. Kids need to be kids. Period.

OMG I fully admit that I cannot take my eyes off these lame-ass parents. And the more they enfuriate me the more I enjoy them looking foolish on tv. boxed

I wouldn't have half the issue with the pageants if it were not for the sexualization of children.

I don't care what anyone says, full makeup, lashes and 3 hairpieces is sexualizing a child. I just can't be told diffent.

I've watched about two seconds of this show and turned it off.

My 5 year old daughter saw the commercial one morning before school (She likes to watch Bringing Home Baby in the mornings) and asked me if we could watch it when it comes on.

I don't have anything against it, but it's just bizzare to me.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

I feel sick whenever I see kid pageants. There was a brilliant episode of Bones where the FBI found a skeleton of a little girl. When the forensics team inspected the body they found all these alterations and were getting upset thinking the child must've been abused beyond belief and tortured by a sick killer - turns out she was just a pageant queen and all the surgery was just to help her win. I do consider it abuse tbh. It's like dog shows for humans, they're too young, too little and not knowledgable enough to fight back so they just get used for the parents gain. Disgusting.

Those pageants aren't cheap either! I think one woman said she paid 10-30,000 dollars on one pageant alone. eek I'd rather spend money on dance lessons, or music lessons, or art lessons for my children than that drivel. What are they learning from this other than to shake and wiggle and attract the wrong attention?? I'd rather have my children learn something meaningful, like music, art, and dance (music I can teach them because I'm studying to get a piano-teaching degree)...than spend on weaves, bad makeup and cheezy dresses.

These pageant moms should be institutionalized....let your children be children and teach them something meaningful!!!!!! mad mad mad
