I just had gluten-free bread for the first time...

ill

Now I know what death tastes like.

This was even supposed to have been somewhat better than what people with celiac disease usually eat.

No, I was given some leftovers from a party.

I do get sort of tired after eating a lot of wheat products though.

Can't say I've had gluten-free bread. I've had gluten-free pasta, though. Since I don't normally eat pasta, I couldn't discern much of a taste difference. But it's the weirdest thing...you can just eat and eat and eat that stuff and never feel full. It's bizarre.

All I'm gonna say is this: never eat gluten-free pasta with martinis. disbelief

I had to try it again in the morning. It feels sort of rubbery in mouth, which I believe is due to them using some sort of gum to substitute for the gluten. Probably not that different from what is used on chewing gum. The taste itself is sort of "medical". It does taste like bread on one hand, but to me it also tasted like what painkillers taste like if you chew them. Additionally, there's also a hint of broken glass mixed in. It doesn't really taste like food in overall.
