There are plently of Black folks that find that word offensive. They don't want anyone to use it, no matter what your color is. Some Black folks don't care one way or the other.

White folks don't understand these issues because they refuse to acknowledge that there is a racial hierarchy.

Whites are at the top and Blacks are at the bottom. Everyone else is somewhere in the middle. Many Whites don't want to lose "white privilege," so they just say it's not a big deal and move on.

I'm an Old School Brother from back in the day, and when we used to refer to each other with "The N-word", it had quite a different meaning. In fact, I can still listen to Richard Pryor's old records, or even more recently; some of Ice-T's CD's from the 80's & 90's, and actually feel the LOVE when they use that very same word. Nevertheless, it was a term that we only ever meant to be used amongst ourselves in that way.
