Wow. You should be really thankful nobody cleaned you up before you could become a citizen.

they tried!!! but I'm RESISTANT bug

Resistance to residue cleaners could definitely come in handy. I know a few people who could have used that trait, anyway.

Seriously, though - congrats! But why did it take so long, or why did you wait so long?

it's all about money lol it used to be cheaper to renew my swedish passport and resident return visa than become a citizen and get an australian passport.

since 2000, sweden has allowed dual citizenship - if they had to take away my EU passport, I wouldn't even consider it, but they raised the price of the return visa I need to re-enter australia, from $75 to $500, so now, it's cheaper to become an aussie

lol

I did it in June... it really feels good. biggrin

Thanks! I close on Wednesday morning.

This is the second time I've refinanced. The first was in 2006 - I needed to convert from an ARM (the initial financing) to a fixed-rate mortgage. My interest rate and payment didn't change much that time.

This time, my interest rate is dropping almost two full percentage points - not to mention the fact that the principle has dropped quite a bit in that time. And because the note was already held by Fannie Mae, the new rules for condos didn't affect me. I didn't even need an appraisal! biggrin

$200 faint That's amazing! Congrats.

Noah and Daisy are having a BLAST this summer.

My bills are all paid, ON TIME.......by ME.

Were going to the shore in 2 weeks.

No one yells in my house. (Except me on ocassion) lol

My Ex husband and I get along better than we ever have, and the kids are loving it.

Work is great I love my boss.

My mom and I are talking again, after 2 months of me avoiding her and her screaming at me. Were going over there Sunday for dinner.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies

Just got cast in my first show of the season! woot!

Not the lead I was going for, but a smaller part that will let me enjoy the rest of my summer. It's a bit of a showcase - nice monologue and a faaaaaaabulous wardrobe.

The director said, "It's a smaller part, but I need someone who can walk on that stage and own it - and you can. And we all (I know the director, the associate producer and the stage manager) really, really want you in the show - and working with [this theatre group] again." (Which I haven't in four years.) "So please say 'yes.'"

I did. biggrin

Thanks. I'm a teensy bit disappointed but, on balance, pretty happy about it. It's going to tie me up in September, but it's a nice way to ease into the season.

And I wanted to take the part, because this group has something big coming up later this season that I want bad. I'm really happy to be on their radar before that comes up.

Sometimes, you have to lower your sights in the near term and look at the big picture.

I just went on a late night trip to Wendy's where I ordered two chicken sandwiches and some fries. As I pulled up to the window, the woman who took my order was super-friendly and smiley. I told myself it doesn't necessarily mean anything as I waited on my food and debated with myself if I found her attractive or not, given my limited view of her. Then she came back after a minute or two with my food and said "The chicken is fresh" then got all giggly and said "You have beautiful eyes"...in her heavy, sexy as hell Hispanic accent.

She went from maybe being attractive to me fantasizing about banging her by the Baconator station.

Of course, she was being all sweet and here I am being a shallow asshole.

Anyhow, this all reminded me of the thread with johnart saying "Latino" which is why I thought to share it on here.
