I was wondering as 2 whether or not folks on the org.give us over the road truckdrivers the room and respect we deserve.Like any thing in life u have bad folks and good folks. Of course if u dont know that IF TRUCKS STOP,THEN AMERICA STOPS.U ask how u figure that?4 those on planet mars...80% of americas goods comes off a truck,since u cant park a train or a plane on the curb 2 be unloaded,a single truck pays over $30,000.00 in highway and interstate taxes,so we're not out there just 2 have fun,its a business.I admit some truckdrivers are assho's ive met some,but most r good hearted people trying 2 support their families and alot like PRINCE MUSIC!! Why not give them respect? It's an honest job and, as you say, trucks playing a major role in moving goods from point A to point B.

As for giving them room, well, it's not too hard to imagine who's going to "win" in a collision between my Miata and an 18-wheeler.

My first stepdad was a truck driver when my mom married him (I was real little) and I thought it was the coolest job in the world and wanted to do it. I have a lot respect for truck drivers, but alas I don't do it.

He eventually went back to school and got an engineering degree so he doesn't even do it anymore.

My respect you have. I've been working in transport/logistic and had a lot to do with you truckers! I had to do read the how's the name in English... Tacho Scheiben, this things whitch counts how many miles you did, how many stops and how fast you went. ...! There're many truckers also in the easyriderscene. I love Harley's!

I give em much respect! I have a honda accord that will fit nicely under one of those big trucks. I give em all the space they need.

Yeah I show them respect but some of them can be real assholes, they see you merging onto the freeway and they wont let you over, that's when I blast my horn at them and say

i give 'em respect yet i notice that a few TRUCK DRIVERS
seem to feel that "my truck is bigger" and use that to drive quite erraticly...
on the whole (to the most part)
big rig drivers are quite cool people.

one night while traveling from Ft. Wayne Indiana back to Chicago on 30...I was drivin about 75 / 80 obviously way over the speed limit...when out of no where a semi was creepin up on me real fuckin fast...shit I pulled over,period I was already goin almost 80 or 80 ...and its a good thing I pulled over I swear about 25 semis were following behind the first semi goin well over 80!!!
it was in the dead of night not much if any traffic...but shit it scared the ba-jesus out of me

American Trucks are the most impressional! I like the ones with the personal note, the graffities and brush, as exemple. I'm sure, if I would drive and so a big truck would came from the other side, I would directly do drive into his front, so I would look at !
Only once I went as guest in, but a smaller one. I hade to make auto stop and a trucker did hold. Uhhh, that was a great journey!

bunch of speed gobbling wankers...a lot of them...recently we nearly got run off the road by one of these pricks...he was SO close behind us it wasn't funny...and there was nowhere we could go...i'm sure some are cool...but on the whole...fuck 'em...

and i know "the industry" forces them to drive for ridiculously long hours...but that's no excuse
