please explain to me why people or yourself, are so summer happy??? is there somewhere we could petition to have a summer free year?

sun baking your skin

sweating all the time

crowds and the crazies come out (more so)

your vehicle becomes an oven

sweating as you come out of the shower

humidity

sleep naked on top of your sheets and it still TOO HOT!!!

i do not like summer!! i don't mind the sun being out or it being a little warm, but give me a break. there is very little about summer worth celebrating if you ask me.

give me spring, fall, and winter anytime!

BUT remember how miserable people were during the blizzards?

- cold chapping our skin

- shivering all the time

- Holiday shopping crazies come out

- your vehicle not starting/heating up

- freezing as you come out of the shower

- frost

Where do you live? If you live in the USA, and you're situated somewhere in the South, the Great Plains, or the desert Southwest, then I can see why you think summertime is hell on earth, because in those places, it usually is hell on earth. With days in the South above 90 degrees with 80% humidity, I couldn't stand to live there. In the Plains where the temperature nears 100 degrees, and with the temperatures in the desert Southwest above 100 degrees every day (and sometimes above 110), you won't find me outside there either, even with the dry air.

Now the recent 100 degree days along the east coast must have really sucked, but I'm sure that's an anomaly. It doesn't usually get that hot along the east coast, except for a few times in D.C., so I feel for those of you who suffered through that heat.

well in the colder months you can always add clothing or have something warm to eat/drink.

you can only take off so many clothes until your left with only skin.

lawd, I love summer.

Of course, I prefer the tale end of summer or the begginning moths more so than the dog days of summer--but I'll take that over being snowed in and unable to go for a jog or a pleasant walk---I couldn't fathom that mess.
