How come so few people are outraged that boys are sexually mutilated? I can see it being necessary for certain medical problems (phimosis) but even then that can be remedied with a dorsal slit. The fact that it is done for religous reason is even more disgusting since religions aren't based in reality. If you've ever been to a Bris, you'll see how happy everyone is while the baby is getting part of his dick cut off without anesthesia. It's disgusting! It's even more disgusting that some mohels use their mouth to draw blood from the foreskin, instead of the usual suction device. Mutilating a baby's penis and then sucking on it is perverted in my opinion. I think it's in Iran where they dress up in these tacky satin outfits and cut off foreskins. It's bizarre AND evil and should be illegal.

I don't agree that it's sexual mutilation. I don't think it's necessary but circumsized men aren't unable to have fulfilling sex lives because the skin is missing. It's not the same as female genital mutilation.

You make a valid point, but it's still an unnecessary surgery for men and women. Cutting off a healthy body part for no reason is disturbing. I got in a fight with my sister because she circumcized my nephew. I asked her why she was doing it and she said "because." She didn't even know why she was having her son mutilated. LOL I think the doctor suggested it so she did it. I can't think of any other surgery that parents are so blase about. If you watch a circumcision on youtube it will make your skin crawl. I've never heard screaming like that. Surgery without anesthesia is not fun! I am SO thankful to have been born 13 weeks premature. My penis was too small at birth to do the circumcision.

I'm glad I was circumsized at birth. That way I will never remember it. It would be absolutely horrible to eventually need to be circumcised and be old enough to anticipate, feel, and remember the pain.

I'm quite sure that's not true. It's only in the first couple of months were you have to take care it doesn't grow together, by pulling the foreskin back in warm water.

I, for instance, was wanking like crazy when I was seven years old.

As for the rest, I quite agree, but it's impossible to make religious traditions illegal, especially in muslim countries.

Of course a clitoris is more "important" a woman's sexual pleasure, but the top of the penis loses its sensitiveness when there's no foreskin to "protect" it most of the time.

Then again, I do have foreskin and the top of my penis is not more sensitive than the rest, so maybe it's all quite unfounded.

I agree it's not necessary, but I don't remember it, and sex is as good as I can imagine it being. Maybe it could be better, but I don't feel like I am missing out on anything.

But yes it may just be a weird, outdated practice, but don't try to make us all feel like we are victims. I hate that attitude that somehow I have been irreversibly damaged, even if I cannot conceive of it.

If it were so horrible then we (circumcised men) would be unable to use our "mutilated" penises as well as the "natural" ones. Not the case.

those little tables they use to strap them down on..arms and legs in the shape of a little body

neither of my sons are circumsized..although ot was a misunderstanding with my first son that

prevented it, i still decided there was a reason for it and left it that way..after all its not mine

i had this discussion the my younger son's father before he was born... well not much of one

i told him it wasnt gonna happen and if he had problems with it to walk away now...

Nobody on the org ever believes me when I say that the vast majority of my female American friends have a knee-jerk "ewww" factor over uncut cocks. (most of them have never even seen one in real life).

That being said, male genital circumcision is absolutely not the same thing as female genital ciricumsion (which causes pain during intercourse and is designed to suppress women). Male genital circumcision in most cases is absolutely not necessary, and I get tired of women making excuses like "it's cleaner" when what they really mean is "girls will absolutely not suck his dick when he reaches manhood."

I'm all for it if someone wants to do it in adulthood, or even if a teenager wants it done. I think cut cocks just have a nicer appearance. But I don't understand people who find them repulsive. They're not.
