Try to be controling - of situations, events or life, life is a compromise when you're not alone

Chip on their shoulder - they've been wronged, cheated on, blah, blah, blah - Life isn't perfect, quit whining and learn from past mistakes

Try to change people - Clothes, liking their friends, pick something/anything - be happy with who you have or leave them, trying to change people is futile.

I too can identify with much of what Moonbeam said. However, I won't generalize and say that these things are true of ALL women.

Many women say they want a sensitive man who will listen to them, talk to them and treat them with respect. All too often, these are the guys who get dumped in favour of macho pinhead jerks who treat women like toilet paper. I've experienced this more often than not, and it can be quite painful. I've been told that, by being sensitive, I'm not "masculine" enough! Ultimately, time and again, these girls wind up with jackasses who treat them EXACTLY the way they said they didn't want to be treated. It would be easy for me to say that ALL women want jerks, but I refuse to believe this is true. There just has to be some women out there who want a man who will treat them with respect! I cannot be a jerk, its just not in my nature. I'm hoping my newest (potential) relationship will be the one who will appreciate this!

I must say, that I think many women have been conditioned to go for the "bad boy". They get so used to being treated like dog poo, that they don't think its love if they are treated otherwise. If there weren't so many asshole dudes out there, life would be a whole lot easier on us "nice" guys.
