I'm on welfare.

I get 78 bucks a month in food stamps, I Medicaid for me n my kids, and I get most of their daycare paid for. It's 35 bucks a week instead of 250 a week. I dunno who pays the rest.......

Many mothers (myself included) are thrilled that they are moms and feel blessed to have children to raise. I may be a single mom, but I love my children and I love my life.

4. Any parent that is forced to raise a child/chilren alone needs help. For the sake of the children. If the absent parents and family members were doing there jobs then there wouldn't be a need for welfare and other support organizations to help the needy.

Children deserve help, so before you start dogging welfare moms, remember that these people are getting help for kids that need the help. Many children would other wise starve and die with out this help, many more would be homeless.

So unless you are a pillar in your community, readily helping needy kids, sheltering people, then you shouldn't worry about mothers and fathers who do their best to raise children that they love.

Instead, extend your outrage to the corporate welfare suits

, you know those CEO's that take trilillions of hard earned taxpayer money and spend it on champagne and yatchs and plastic surgery....

I am making my point out that people should not make love raw unless they are going to deal with the consenquences of their actions..and not let anyone else pay for it. We are all sitting here paying for things in the world for other people to live; that's what taxes are for..but if you had the means to prevent something that was going to put your behind in the hole and you dont even hardly have enough to take care of your own self let alone a baby; then that man / woman needs to be smacked.

I know pastors that fuck up parenting on a regular... they are so busy taking care of church goers they actually neglect their kids. Many pastors kids get lost in the shuffle. The same holds true for parents that work all day and are never able to spend much time with their children. So a "good home" can really be anywhere.

Time to nurture is important, structure, and some attention is what's important. The make-up of a family isn't really... you can raise a child successfully despite living in poverty. As for me, I had a child at 19... we didn't use a condom because I was horny and naive. I worked full time to buy a fully stocked nursery, never had a babyshower, never was given shit. Not even from the dad.... until I sued him for support.

Long story short.... my son is now in college on full scholarship (he is studying to be a marine biologists) and an asset to his community.

I have two more kids now, a single parent since things didn't go according to plan, but we are doing great, parents can make things better or worse, its all in your attitude towards child rearing.

I wish more people enjoyed their kids more. Breaks my heart to see a disinterested parent who just treat their child as simple property.
