Comic Books look kind of Gay, am I wrong?

I'm constantly bombarde by comic books here.

Around these parts, the highest, most educated citizens of this great city read comic books like it's literature. Kind of sad when you think about it.

However, I've noticed that when the comic books are American, they always appear to be so camp. Sort of homo-eroticism dressed in vegas drag.

But they always have men in really tight, form-fitting outfits, with bulges and butts that are just too die for. I mean, the straight dudes eat this stuff up. Why not the ladies?

So...comics resemble you or you resemble comics?

The Matrix Has You...

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

although i dislike furries

this a popular yaoi(gay males comic drawn by women for women audience) comic book entitled

man's best friend

[img:$uid]http://cdn1.ioffer.com/img/item/110/206/411/CF6cXwK9GeSnaG5.jpg[/img:$uid]

bara on the other is for comics drawn for gay men by gay men.

i don't know the name of this manga(comic) and there are better

but for the sake of the forum--i can't really post some--its really is pornography...which is not bad.

and it seems i can't really find a cover for one to show you

and also as i've read--gay comics(manga) can also be called gei-comi

Most gay men in japan--have a problem with yaoi, or so i've read in various places. the main problem consists of the heteronormative/heterosexism vibe of these comic.

another problem is that some find the couples in these story are too stereotypical---for one, you usually have one character who is overly femme--to the point of stereotype--and the other an hypersexual male.

personally as a gay man--i have no problem with such comics--because its just that--just comics and nothing more.

The gay men I have seen here (and there are TONS out in the the open here) come in all variations.

I just found out one of my students was gay, but I could have NEVER known. And they pair up in variations too. Although you see more fem+fem and butch+butch couples than the other variations.

The women are VERY stereotypical here. 100% of the female couples I have seen that are gay consist of one fem(ish) female and a hyper-butch bull dyke type---the kind that wears jeans which give the appearance of a bulge in the crotch (boy jeans), converse hightops, and a flanel (I'm not joking) shirt or baggy tshirt that all but makes their breasts disappear. The hairdo is always short cropped and shaggy--like a man's hair would be, and there is no hint of makeup.

So there's always a 'boy' and a 'girl' in the lesbian relationships here so far that I've seen. Strangely, the accept the stereotypes of themselves (gay and lesbian) in the movies, print, and so forth. They don't seem offended by any of it.

i need to rectify myself with the yaoi comment--- gay men who are gay activist have a problem with the stereotypical aspect of yaoi--- i'm not really sure how the gay community feels about yaoi--considering that i don't really live in japan.

That Captain America pic that you posted looks like he´s got a comparatively "normal" costume on, except for the huge camel toe the pants look pretty standard and not as tight as some of the old versions in the past.

I never understood why most DC Comics superheroes would wear shorts over their long, tight pantyhose-looking pants:

[img:$uid]http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/ADVG/595.jpg[/img:$uid]

Even with the more serious and mature look of the drawing style of people like, for instance, the legendary Neal Adams, that shorts over pantyhose style always looked odd (and still does) on male superheroes:

[img:$uid]http://yourmomsbasement.com/batmanisawesome/files/2009/09/4.jpg[/img:$uid]

Some superheroes can look very sexy though and give the average teenage reader something to dream about. The depiction of ladies such as Tigra or Wonder Woman is sexy, but often times also on the verge of sexist.

I always enjoyed/respected the way that comic books deal with the flashy/glamourous side of males without falling into full homoeroticism, and how they show that a superwoman can be smart and incredibly sexy at the same time...
