I owned a black cat named B.B. (stands for black and blue...when he was born he was pure black with bright blue eyes...they turned green as he aged).

We called him "Schmee"

I took care of my sister's 2 cats. One was named "Adrian" after my father's middle name. A strange name for a cat.

The other cat is "Bailey"...and I'm not sure why. I called him Bailey-Bugs. Or Bugsy. Again, not sure why.

My friend has given alcohol-themed names to all of his pets. Won't translate to English too well, though.

"Rum", "Bud", "Slosh". I guess.

I call my cat "Fat".

My cat Islington often gets called "Kitty McGee". As in, "What do you think you're doing over there, Kitty McGee?"

My cat SugarGirl usually just gets called Sugar. They are both often called "kitty". My last cat was named Kitty and habits are hard to break, I guess.

I just got a dog last month and named him Charlie.

I already have about 12 billion nicknames for him and use them all interchangeably. He absolutely dominates my life at the moment. It's so funny how it's only been a couple of weeks and I already can't imagine what I'd do without him.

I don't know if anyone will get this, but he's SO damn cute I want to punch him sometimes... Maybe if you saw how he does head first dismounts off the couch and then looks at me like, "Did you see what I just did", you would understand what I mean. He kills me on a daily basis.

I think I have some other names for her but those are the biggies. She only really answers to her own name. And if I want her to come when called I have to say her name like this (in a louder voice)..."Thoma-seeeeeeeeeeee-na!" And she always comes right away.
