DC EARTHQUAKE!

The Washington, DC area experienced a minor earthquake this morning at 5:30AM. No major damages noted, but I didn't feel a thing. I was "dead to the world," but several people felt and heard it. I did hear my cats scurrying around, but I thought they were just doing their early morning rumpus.

I heard about it this morning. Didn't feel a thing. I'm out in NOVA so not sure it was felt here anyway.

One of my friends posted it on her FB wall. She's down in Gaithersburg.

That's where the so called "epicenter" was. Did she feel it?

Yes.

She was joking about it.

I'm in Glen Burnie, MD too, but I did feel/hear it. I heard what I thought was either a big ass truck barreling down the road or a plane coming in for a landing at BWI sometime between 5 and 5:30 am. I just passed it off as such, until I read about the earthquake in DC yesterday afternoon.

For all I know, maybe it was one of those things I originally thought it was and that it was a coincidence, but I think it probably was indeed the "earthquake".

a 3.6? that is about like a standing next to a train as it passes. Or even an 18 wheeler. would go unnoticed by most people in a big city.

Yeah, admittedly I overslept by 3 hours and didn't realize my alarm went off. So I was pretty much out that night.
