Any Org Golfers?

Im just about setting off to play The Darley in Troon.

A tricky course for anyone and considering I play off a 26 Handicap if I break 100 i'll be happy smile

So whats your handicap?

What equipment do you use?

Favourite course?

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

I used to play all the time. I got down to a 10. So the bad news is that as far as all my friends are concerned, I'm still a 10. The one or two times a year I play now, I just open my wallet and dump it out on the first tee, 'cause ain't no way I'm playing to a 10.

I have fitted Titleist irons and my woods are so old that my driver looks like one of today's fairway woods. But I can still pump it out 280 - 300 on rare occasions. And I kind of like getting to play all the clubs in my bag, which I can't do with the bighead drivers of today. With those drivers, almost every hole is driver-wedge or driver-9 iron.

I've never played in Europe, but still hope to one day.

My favorite American courses are:

1. Spyglass (next to Pebble Beach)

2. Bloody Point (Daufuske Island in South Carolina)

3. Pebble Beach (too freaking expensive but every golfer should play it once in their life)

4. Shadowcreek (Las Vegas, used to be Steve Wynn's private course)

I've been fortunate to have played a couple other courses, like Cypress Point and the Lakes Course at the Olympic Club. They're awesome, too.

I've never played Augusta National but that's still on my bucket list. It's just a lot farther down than it used to be.

Golf is an elitist sport. Environmentally bad and there are still clubs that don't let in blacks or jews.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

My handicap is that I don't have enough time to practice.

My dad built my clubs - though I have a King Cobra driver that sounds like I'm hitting the ball with a beer can.

And my favorite course is probably Mississippi National in Redwing, Minnesota.

i don't play well at all, my son & husband play a lot. their fave. courses are as follows:

  1. pebble beach (near carmel, ca.) i also love going here, the view is beautiful, and it's a peaceful place to just visit, also 17-mile-drive is nice.
  2. empire ranch (folsom, ca.) nice place for sure!
  3. castle oaks (ione, ca.)
  4. apple mountain (apple hill, ca.)
  5. eagle ridge (gilroy, ca.) nice views from the top of the mountain of the valley below, and nice homes surround too.
  6. mace meadows (pioneer, ca.) quiet and peaceful in the middle of the mountains.

and i'm sure there's a ton more, but these are the ones i know best. there is also a really nice one in lake tahoe too.
