We just use a food mixer to make mush for Mon's brother to eat through his tube. I can't even imagine how bad a regular Thai dish tastes when it's blended down to a puree.

I love Thai food, but one of the best things about it is the melding of so many different textures and flavors. All blended up together it must be...um, weird.

I watched the original Predator with Chris, rested some, and felt a bit better. My oldest girl helped me make cake batter and frosting.

It's 11PM and we're watching a Seinfeld rerun while 2 moist, vanilla-redolent yellow layer cakes cool on wire racks and the sweet, fluffy chocolate buttercream is chilling in the refrigerator.

Aww, that's so cute.

It's just a yellow butter cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. I'll have to look up the bonnie butter and french silk frosting, though, especially if it's the bestest cake ever in the world.

I have always wanted one of those mixers...and now I want some of that cake too.

Everytime we watch one of those shows on the Food Channel, my wife tells me that she wants one of those.

Then I look at her and remind her that she has never, ever baked a thing in her life. She's an excellent cook, but baking is not her thing.
