The sound of a ticking clock reminds me of when I used to stay at my grandparents house when I was little.

The only ticking clock I have in my house is in my spare bedroom and I think it's actually quite relaxing to listen to it if I go up there to sleep.

Most times yes. Sometimes a ticking clock will keep me from sleeping.

What will make me hunt it down and kill it is the little beep from a pager that has a low battery.

No. It's quite annoying. No analog clocks allowed in my own household.

I never understood why the indicator for seconds is really needed for most clocks anyway. It's not like people have their clocks synchronized to Greenwich time or anything like that.
