UPDATE: NFL looking into shooting at Vick’s birthday party

Roddy White attended Michael Vick's football camp, but had left the party before an early a.m. shooting occurred.

Updated, Mon. 7:36 p.m.

The National Football League and the Philadelphia Eagles are gathering information on the shooting that occurred after Michael Vick’s birthday party last Thursday outside of Virginia Beach.

The league is checking to see if the player conduct policy was violated or if Vick violated his federal probation order. He’s under probation for three years as part of his federal dogfighting conviction.

Vick’s attorney stated that he was not involved in the shooting.

Vick is going to catch heckl no matter where he goes or who he hangs with. He could be at church one day and a member of the church could get arrested on some crime, Vick's name would be dragged in some how. Heck, he could be at home and some homeless guy trips and falls on Vick's property. Vick would get blamed for pushing the guy down or something. look, I think Vick was railroaded for the dogfighting shit..what he did was barbaric and inhumane but he paid a price that not many have paid for the same crime...but this proves that Vick is either totally stupid or he's the kind of person that really has no intentions of bettering himself...you can't convince me that he couldn't chose to separate himself from this bullshit if he really wanted to...

The thing is, the dude that got shot was one of the people he wasn't supposed to associate with under his probation. Vick could be in some shit over this.

Ya'll know I'm the first one to get in line to call an athlete stupid especially one known for harming dogs but this sounds different to me.

Vick has not "hung out" with this dude at all. He was one of the people who flipped on Mike and cooperated with the feds to send him to jail while the victim only got probation. This dude was NOT invited, was in fact told by his relatives in advance NOT to come to the restaurant. Yet this muthafucka shows up to the place cussing everybody out and causing a scene mad cuz he was told to stay away. Then HE walks up to Michael Vick and slaps him in the face with his own damn birthday cake. Michael keeps his cool and does nothing and asks the guy to leave which he does eventually but Michael left the restaurant 15 minutes before this dumb ass did. I don't know what else Michael coulda done differently in this situation.

I ain't saying MV may not know who shot this dude but it doesn't mean he was involved. He's cooperating with the cops and he's not a suspect. Funny how people are more than willing to jump to all kinds of conclusions just cuz it's Michael Vick . . . I know that's to be expected but still.

His brother, who was there, is still friends with Vick and it was one of those promoted athlete parties. So it was open to the public for $30. MOST athletes have these kinds of parties. Terrell does one every year for his birthday. It's very common and a major revenue stream for them. I get at least one invitation a day to parties promoted by athletes.

When he got there his own brother told him to beat it. Security took him outside where he ranted and raved for several minutes until the shots happened. Mike was long gone before that.

But it's still on Vick for not having the security in place to have this dude booted right when he showed up. I'm sure someone told Vick the dude was there. Vick should've had him escorted off the premises and that would've been that.

Security was there and they didn't have any problems out of the 300 guests who were there all night. Maybe security had no idea who this guy was until it was too late. MV and his peeps were in VIP and this guy came over there. Once there, everyone recognized him and told him to leave. His own brother included.

This fool was the one cussing and yelling and flinging cake. Then security managed to get him out kicking and screaming like a bitch. We don't know how long this fool was in there. He coulda done all this in ONE minute. Regardless, MV left immediately while this fool continued causing a scene for 15 more minutes before catching a cap.

Sorry, but I'm not willing to place any blame on MV cuz it sounds like he did the absolute right thing and he's a free man so we shouldn't expect him to have to stay home 24/7. This dumbass was 1000% the antagonist and I don't feel sorry for his ass. I've been with many athletes and seen for myself how people walk up to them and try to goad them into an altercation.

Okay, well I read another story that said 15 minutes. Regardless, there are witness who saw the shooter and it wasn't MV.
