Okay now, so upon your recommendation, I just got finished watching "Mean Girls". And I gotta say, I really enjoyed this movie, lol. I thought there would be no way I would enjoy anything she had done, but I was ready to keep an open mind and see for myself, and I'm glad I did.

Of course it still doesn't explain to me what may have gone wrong in her life, I suspect the problem may be that people have just allowed her to believe she was just THAT special, and that the same rules didn't apply to her that others had to follow. In any event, it would be a good thing if she could turn herself around. Not so much that the acting world needs her, but it would just be a good thing.

And watching her in "Mean Girls" did help me to see another side of her, so thanks for that. wink

Yeah, Mean Girls is pretty flawless, it's something I could watch no matter how many times I've seen it, and Tina Fey did a fantastic job at examining high school cliques. I've always felt Lohan was helped by very strong co-stars in this film, she's not really required to do much besides be the proxy for the audience which is why I'd still recommend Georgia Rule because she's actually the lead character in that. It's VERY dark, though, quite the opposite to Mean Girls.

As far as her real life issues go, she's been famous since she was 12 and has had a fairly hectic upbringing thanks to her crazy dad, stage mom and of course, a rising star. Without any particular parental guidance (her mom used to party WITH her and her dad was in jail for a while and now prefers to sell her out as often as he can) it would seem she had nowhere to go but down. Considering she's been in rehab 3 times already and she's only 24, I hope the jail time, however short it ends up being, will be the real wake up call because she DOES have some talent left to offer.

I think her role in Mean Girls, like most decent comedy performaces, is pretty complex lol She has to be bitchy enough to pull it off and endearing enough for the audience to still like her. She doesn't over-act the emortional scenes either (well, apart from the scenes in which she deliberately over-acts lol).

I thought she was great in Freaky Friday as well, I even prefer it to the original lol

Lindsay Lohan's defense attorney resigns from case

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan will be going to jail without one of her biggest advocates — her attorney.

The actress' attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, resigned from the case shortly after releasing a statement Thursday calling a judge's 90-day jail sentence for Lohan "harsh and unfair."

No reason for her withdrawal from the high-profile case was given, and her replacement has not been announced.

A representative for the seasoned defense attorney, who fought to keep the "Mean Girls" star out of jail during a daylong hearing Tuesday, said her earlier remarks about Lohan's sentence remained valid.

Good. I'm tired of watching her dad crying for her and her mother enabling her like a wannabe Jade Barrymore. The girl needs help, and a little tough love might be the answer. She's a beautiful, talented young woman who's just wasting herself away, and if it takes a judge to reel her in so she can reclaim herself and her career, then GOOD.ON.HER. It's time to let the sense of entitlement fall by the wayside so she can see that there are consequences for bad choices and her actions. Hopefully it'll straighten her out right quick. She's not one of my favorite actresses by a long stretch, but I do think she has talent and potential for a lifelong fruitful career that she an her fans can enjoy, but she needs to learn that playtime is over, and she needs to start focusing more on her craft and less on party openings with coke and booze flying everywhere.

Well damn, Robert Shapiro done quit too. You know you a fucked up mess if the man who got OJ off throws his hands up like, "Damn, this bitch TOO crazy!" disbelief

TMZ has learned Bob Shapiro informed the judge in Lindsay Lohan's case, he's no longer representing her.

It is unclear who will represent Lindsay tomorrow when she will turn herself in.

We do not know why Shapiro has left the case. He said publicly he would represent Lindsay only if she agreed to jail and followed his instructions.

Interestingly, Shawn Chapman Holley never signed the substitution of attorney form last Friday to get out of the case. So Shawn may be on the hook.

We're told tomorrow is going to be crazy!

TMZ has learned ... Shawn Chapman Holley is going to be by Lindsay Lohan's side in court this morning, representing her after Robert Shapiro bailed on LiLo.

MZ broke the story ... Holley quit earlier this month, because Lindsay was an uncontrollable client.

But now Lindsay is in a pinch, and Holley is stepping up.

Sources tell us Lindsay is furious at Shapiro, feeling as if he totally used her to get publicity for his sober living house. She believes that is the only reason he agreed to rep her and sold her a bill of goods.

We've learned Holley is supposed to be in court in the Juan-Carlos Cruz attempted murder case at the same time Lindsay's case is heard. We're told Holley is going to have the Cruz case delayed so she can be with Lindsay.

As for Lindsay, we're told she's terrified but on board with the plan today.

Due to overcrowding. She did a lot more time than I thought she would.
