I'm travelling 4 hours on a train tomorrow and then back again friday.

I'll be by myself and I get bored easily.

I've put some new msic on my mp3 player, I can now access internet with my phone.... I'm not really in the mood for reading a book at the moment...

Any ideas?

You don't feel like reading a book, but how about listening to one?

My mom gets all the tabloids to read while she travels. That way if she loses them it's not a loss at all, but it's something to do.

Pack a nice meal and have it in the observation car.

Hand held video games.

Can you get movies on your phone?

And of course you can .org since your phone has internet access.

Nikki suggests a magazine and some wasted time. I mean who could resist a little grind?

I couldn't get the internet to work on my phone most of way there, so I listened to music, read gossip magazines and ate tons of chocolate. I also looked out of the window a lot - some of the scenery was beautiful. The English countryside is just amazing sometimes.

On the way back... internet worked, so I sent a few emails and used facebook, listened to more music. I talked to a couple who had an adorable 4 year old with them and felt sad that I had been away from my kids for 3 days.

OMG, the 2nd leg of the journey back was a nightmare!!! The train was delayed so I had to RUSH like a madwoman through the London Underground - during rush hour! I was hot, I was sweaty and I couldn't breathe. I was wearing big heels and carrying a massive bag. Ugh.

THEN... I just made it to my train home from London and some bugger was sitting in my reserved seat. Grrr! I told him it was my seat, showed him my ticket and the arsehole wouldn't move. I could have slapped him, but I think he got enough stares and dirty looks from all the other passengers... so I just moved into the next carriage and found another seat. I was hot, tired and physically knackered so I just sat and looked out of the window.

All in all the time passed ok.
