They announce a week prior. USA (there is no Canadian version). Out of 11 seasons, 7 of the winners have been male.

The first season of the American version was the same as the international ones. Beginning with the second season, it took on more Survivor-like qualities (public no longer votes, alliances, etc.):

I'm out of BB this year. It takes up too much time, and time I don't have to spare. It was fun while it lasted, but I can't do it anymorme. My BB blog and Twitter have been noted as me leaving it, and I even changed my BB twitter name (to a Prince song title LOL) I also deleted the Facebook account for the Big Brother stuff I had going.

I used to listen to Ragan Fox's podcast religiously. It's very weird that he's going to be on Big Brother.

He used to co-present a podcast called Eat This Hot Show with other queer podcasters, including the drag podcaster Wanda Wisdom whom Carrie knows. I mean, Carrie the mod, here.

I wonder if Carrie knows Ragan???

And I do indeed know Wanda Wisdom. Or rather the man "behind" Wanda.

Finally BB 12 is about to begin, hopefully this season someone who actually plays the game takes home the prize. I doubt it though. Kristen's from Philly, I'm keeping my eye on her!
