Have your friends had lobotomies?
It's the only way I could watch that movie over and over.

Man, i'm glad to see I wasn't the only one. And it's not like I didn't want to see it...or there were actors in it that I couldn't stand...or that I was morally opposed to it. It just seemed like a bad TV movie...
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

I loved it and I usually hate movies like this. I liked that the main character disappears and you're left with the co-stars to stumble around. I liked how you think "He's not serious is he???" about Alan the whole time. idk, I just found the obviousness of it hilarious, like it wasn't trying to be a super comedy or blow any one away but still ended up being very funny in the process.
I loved how we saw what they got up to at the end, too.
Also, I don't know anyone these days who doesn't get their hopes ruined by hype. Go in with NO expectations. [Edited 7/3/10 0:07am]

I hated it. Not my type of humour at all. And those guys were totally unlikeable, ugh

I admit that this movie cracked me up. When you just accept that it is not pretentious, just plain fuck-up humor, it should crack you up...........otherwise there is something wrong with you.

I share the exact same sentiment.
I love movies that aren't afraid to be controversial or push things to the edge comedy wise, but I found this movie to be utterly predictable at every turn.
It's weird how a movie like Dumb and Dumber or Anchorman can really resonate but then with movies like this one or There's Something About Mary when nearly everyone in the world thinks they hilarious, I find them completely predictable and unfunny.

Same here, didn't think it was funny..at all. Best comedy I've seen in recent years was Knocked Up.

I rarely laugh out loud watching a film, but I laughed my arse off at this!

Well, the movie isn't geared to seniors so I'm not surprised at all.

I really liked Mike Tyson playing Mike Tyson and singing a Phil Collins song. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Whatever.
Do you think Little Miss Sunshine is funny?
I don't.
The only part that's funny in that movie is in the beginning where the grandfather yell's ' AGAIN WITH THE MOTHERFUCKIN CHICKEN!!!!!!!!' I nearly pissed myself.
Speaking of chicken I had a nightmare about it last night. My bf had to wake me up in the middle of the nite cuz I was yelling in my sleep about it. I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure

It wasn't fall-out-of-your-seat hilarious, but I thought it was enjoyable. And I also thought Tyson's part was really funny. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Never seen it. Aside from Woody Allen, I watch very little that's scripted.

Seriously!
I've seen that movie REPEATEDLY and laugh every time.
My newest favorite movie.
I'm firmly planted in denial

I thought that was funny, but it wasn't a belly laugh kind of movie. It was more of the sleeper/clever type of things.

I'm not a huge fan of comedies, but this was actually ok. I was honestly expected a "frat boy" type of comedy at first. That's why I never saw at the theaters. I waited to rent it. Everything was so random, which is why I kinda liked it. I liked it enough to watch it more than once. They said "She's Out of My League" was along the same comedic lines, but I draw the line there. I hate movies involving some supposed "geek" desperate for the attention of a "hot" girl. Maybe on a bored day, I'll watch it. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Yep, it seemed very dead to me too... and the audience wasn't even laughing too much around me either.
It seemed like all the "funny" bits like the chines guy were funny in theory but just seemed like flopping, unskilled, untimed forced copycat techniques.
I also remember seeing "Wedding Crashers" in the theatre and being underwhelmed then sneaking into "40 Year Old Virgin" and thinking it was really FUNNY. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid
