Former Eagles quarterback Randall Cunningham's 2-year-old son Dies in Hot Tub Accident Horrible story...
The 2-year-old son of former NFLquarterback Randall Cunningham died Tuesday at his family's house in what police are calling a hot tub accident. Las Vegas Metro Police spokeswomanBarbara Morgan said that authorities received a call Tuesday afternoon about a 2-1/2-year-old child floating in a Jacuzzi. When officers arrived, an adult was performing CPR to the child. Christian Cunningham was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital Siena campus inHenderson, Nev., where he was later pronounced dead. Morgan said her department's preliminary investigation indicates the death was an accident, but added that "the investigation is ongoing." Christian was the youngest of the four Cunningham children. Morgan also said that Cunningham and his wife, Felicity, were not in the house during the accident, but a family friend and a housekeeper were present when the police arrived. Cunningham is an ordained minister and pastor of a church. Cunningham, 47, played for the Eagles, Vikings, Cowboys and Ravens during his career, which ended after the 2001 season. Selected in the second round of the 1985 draft, he was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and a one-time First-Team All-Pro. He threw for 207 touchdowns, while also rushing for 4,928 yards and 35 scores in his 16-year career. In 1998, he led the league with a 106.0 passer rating, and retired with the most rushing yards in a career by a quarterback.

It seems like almost everyday lately our local news has a story about an unattended child drowning.
