Because he stated that his girlfriend would be raped BY A PACK OF NIGGERS.. And he said that THE JEWS ARE RESPONSBILE WITH WARS ALL OVER THE WORLD....and he he used the term WETBACKS
!!! Thats why race is bought into this.
That's not what I mean, though. Any domestic abuse case these days is always "He got off/will get off easy cuz he's white!" - I remember similar comments for Charlie Sheen. Thing is, Chris Brown got off easy for what he did. He should've done some jail time, no question. Instead he's ordered to pick up litter?! Even before these tapes broke out, Mel Gibson was Hollywood poison after the racist things he said about Jews a few years ago. His apologies didn't do shit to improve his image and now this will destroy any chance he had at winning over the general public again. We know what Chris did yet he's got sympathisers all over (the amount of them on this very site when the incident first occured was disgusting, some abuse victims themselves!). The whole crying episode worked on a lot of people. He's had fans supporting him the whole way.
I'm not seeing where Mel is getting it easier/will get it easier because of his race. Anyone who thinks his career will come back from this when it barely came back from the first incident is deluded. He's done. So is Chris to an extent but, somehow, not in the same way.
Some people are willing to give Chris the benefit of the dobut because he was 19 when it happened. And he also had a histroy of abuse when he agrowed up... U was very critical of christ. But instead of hating him damned near 2 years after the incident....i just hope he get's the help that he needs. Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that? |

Mel Gibson gives Christians a bad name. So sad to hear garbage like this coming out of his mouth.
Since when was Mel Gibson a representative for Christianity?
He isn't (for me at least). But you would be surprised (or maybe not at how simply because his product had world reaching effect, a lot of folks, (sadly, many Christians included) view him as some sort of great messenger of the New Testament; I've seen this with my own eyes even within my Church; otherwise sane, balanced, urban influenced, green loving people start salivating at the mouth about how great Mel is and the brave chances he took for telling the story of Jesus on a mainstream movie screen, to the point of putting him on a pedestal. I understand that a little, because it's very unpopular to admit you're a Christian these days without people trying to (figuratively) kick you in the throat. But to me, this is the classic case for all on every side, Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist, Pagan & Jew to realize that all Christians are.not.the.same. |

Any one who takes up the name of Christ is his rep....
And we all fall short. |
