• Primarily known as the Generation of 1914 in Europe,^[8] were those who fought in World War I.

(Ronald Reagan, b. 1911) Birth Years: 1901-1915

• The name comes from the fact that those born during this time were too young to have served in the military during World War I, and were generally too old to serve as enlisted personnel in World War II, although many of them could indeed be found in the armed forces in some capacity during the latter conflict.

Members of this generation came of age either during the Roaring Twenties or the initial phase of the Great Depression, prior to the election of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the promulgation of the New Deal. This fact contributed to the core of this generation holding lifelong left-liberal views in politics, especially on economic issues (many of them joined Communist fronts during the 1930s), although a few prominent dissenters (such as Barry Goldwater) do stand out. Most of their children belong to the Silent Generation.

The Greatest Generation
(John F. Kennedy, b. 1917) Birth Years: 1916-1924

• Also known as the G.I. Generation, is the generation that includes the veterans who fought in World War II, coming of age during the Great Depression. Journalist Tom Brokaw dubbed this the Greatest Generation in a book of the same name.^[9]

Baby Boom Generation

• Born following World War II up to approximately 1965, a time that was marked by an increase in birth rates.^{[citation needed]} The baby boom has been described variously as a "shockwave"^[10] and as "the pig in the python."^[11]

By the sheer force of its numbers, the boomers were a demographic bulge which remodeled society as it passed through it. |In general, baby boomers are associated with a rejection or redefinition of traditional values; however, many commentators have disputed the extent of that rejection, noting the widespread continuity of values with older and younger generations. In Europe and North America boomers are widely associated with privilege, as many grew up in a time of affluence.^[10] One of the features of Boomers was that they tended to think of themselves as a special generation, very different from those that had come before them. (Kurt Cobain, b. 1967) Birth Years: 1965 - 1979

• Generally defined as those born after the baby boom ended, hence sometimes referred to as Baby Busters^[13], with earliest birth dates seen used by researchers ranging from 1961 to the latest 1981 at its greatest extent. ^{[14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23]}

Generation Y
(Lady Gaga, b. 1986) Birth Years: 1980-1994

• Also known as Generation Next or the Millennials.^[24] The earliest suggested birth dates ranging from mid to late 1970s to the latest in the early 2000s.^{[15][16][17][18][19][25][26][27][28][29][30][31]} Today, many follow William Strauss and Neil Howe's demographics in defining the Millennials. Respected researchers William Strauss and Neil Howe have been influential in defining American generations in their book Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584 to 2069 (1991) and Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation (2000). They use the start year as 1982, and believe that the coming of age of the class of 2000 high school graduates sharply contrasts with those born before them, and those born after them, due to the attention they received from the media and what influenced them politically.^[32][33]

You are probably going to get mostly X and Y here, with maybe a Z or two and possibly a few baby boomers, so not much of a mix sorry. Prince was a baby boomer at least.

And you're right, it's mostly X and Y people here, I have yet to come across any Z people here.

They need to change Y & Z, it's like they got lazy with what to name those generations.
