Even as a Laker fan, I am very surprised Kobe's not in the poll results. Especially for a poll done in Philly.

Albert Haynesworth should be No. 1 with a bullet right now.

Same here. That dude gets more hate for being great than any legendary sports superstar ever.

He's an enigma. Even Laker fans like me hated him in the wake of the breakup. The events of summer 2007 and some deeper reading into the issue helped me soften my stance quite a bit.

Some people root against him because they idolize Michael Jordan so much they can't stand the thought of a guy they still look at as a spoiled, arrogant kid being compared to 23.

He's not as charismatic as Magic, not as skilled or smooth as Jordan was with the media, so he's harder to like. And some people just hate on him just because.

I don't understand why Gilbert Arenas is on the list.

Mike Vick=This guy could have been something greater had he (a) applied himself better as a football player. The man was dynamic but not a student of the game. Living in Atlanta for 15 years, he was better than any QB we had, but a lazy pos!

Ben Rapistburger=For all the shade thrown on Vick, two sex assault claims in a 13 month period speaks volumes about this piece of crap.

Tiger/LYin/Cheeter Woods=All that glitters ain't gold, but this issue is really one between him and his wife.

Steroid era baseball players=I would include Bud Selig (the commish) in there as well. He knew and heard the whispers but played dumb.

I would add as honorary mention players that hold out despite multi million dollar contracts claiming that they are underpaid. If you think you are underpaid, take a 9-5 job of the average fan. Jerks

Philly hates Kobe and for good reason. He's not even from the city. He's from

a surrounding suburb outside of Philly. He has been even more hated since he

talked shit about Philly during the 2001 finals. Stephen A. Smith recently wrote

an article for one of the Philly sportspapers saying he's disappointed the city

hasn't embraced him. What the fuck for? This is the same Stephen A. Smith who

shitted on Kobe during his drama with Shaq when the team didn't resign him. rolleyes

Also the love that the city was showing AI, there was no way Kobe was going to

win over fans there.
